Ted Cruz endorses Marco Rubio’s re-election

A onetime opponent is throwing his support behind Marco Rubio.

On Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz said he was “glad to support” Rubio in his re-election bid. Cruz, a Texas Republican, was one of more than a dozen Republicans who ran for president earlier this year.

“Marco Rubio is a friend and has been an ally in many battles we have fought together in the Senate. I’m glad to support him in his bid for re-election,” he said in a Facebook post shortly after Rubio’s announcement. “Marco is a tremendous communicator and a powerful voice for the American Dream. At this time of great challenges, we very much need strong leaders in the Senate who will fight to restore economic growth, to defend our constitutional liberties, and to ensure a strong national security for our nation.”

According to Elaina Plott with the Washingtonian, Rubio reached out to Cruz to confirm he intended to run. The Washingtonian reported Rubio asked Cruz to send out a statement urging the Miami Republican to run for re-election, but Cruz declined because he didn’t want to be seen as pushing Rep. Ron DeSantis out of the race.

Rubio also appeared to get support from Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich, another one-time presidential opponent. In a tweet Wednesday, Kasich said “keeping (Rubio) serving in the Senate is good news for the people of FL & our entire nation. Good luck, Marco!”

Cruz supporters who refute to get behind Trump are indeed Hillary supporters, and scum, who should be cleansed from the party...

I'd wager you're one of the Trumpists who didn't vote for Romney...

A person who depresses support for Trump to the benefit of Hillary is not a conservative or patriot. It’s that simple.

I find myself wondering if you made the same argument when Romney was the candidate...

Or, perhaps, I'm just associating the same haughty self-righteous attitude with two different groups...

Look back 4 years and I was telling people to vote Romney despite him being absolutely gawdawful, so your desperate attempt to maintain your self-righteous snobbery fails.

The Cruzites who are in an epic pouting fit and won’t vote Trump can go suck my tapeworm. They’re stabbing their own children in the back for the sake of pique and so deserve all the scorn that can be mustered.

Cruz supporters who refute to get behind Trump are indeed Hillary supporters, and scum, who should be cleansed from the party in the same way they wanted to cleanse Trump supporters. I still remember these dumb ***holes calling for mass zots on FR for Trump supporters.

I remember that! Wish I’d saved some of the posts so I could rub it in on those passive-aggressive twits who are NOW demanding that we be nice to them.

That’s exactly the way I feel about Trump, but having said that, I spent 5 hours last Sunday on the phone trying to convince 4 of my family members in Pennsylvania to not sit this election out. I live in Texas. I know we will go Republican but PA is too important to sit out.
I told them, I don’t like Trump either but this election is too important to sit out.

Ted Cruz is a NWO globalist douchebag. Can’t believe I was snookered for so long and sent this jackass so much cash. Damn you, Melty Face.

Only a retarded Cruzer who likes amnesty and letting other men sleep with their wives would compare Romney to Trump.

I find myself wondering why a Patriot would be refighting 2012 when we just had 50 Americans dead in street due to Democrat policies and the promise of more dead Americans should Hillary Rotten Criminal be elected. The answer is a Patriot would not.

But since you brought it up: Mitt Romney supports Ted Cruz. Romney prefers Obama, Hillary and Cruz to Trump. How pathetic is that? Principled Conservatism? LOL.

These people are dumb and crazy, having already proven their pathological nature by continuing to support Cruz even after his pathological lying on things like his support for legalization of illegals. Cruz supporters who refute to get behind Trump are indeed Hillary supporters, and scum, who should be cleansed from the party in the same way they wanted to cleanse Trump supporters. I still remember these dumb ***holes calling for mass zots on FR for Trump supporters. Now they’re the ones living in fear, desperation, on the fringes, just waiting in terror of the inevitable roach spray.

As the kenyan says: “Hit back twice as hard”. Any elected official enabling the Butcher of Benghazi by any means, including GOP vote suppression tactics (fragging Trump), needs to be politically destroyed. Ryan, McConnell, Cruz, Flake, Rubio, etc. All of them. They have all behaved in a treasonous manner and should be dealt with at the ballot box.

You do not possess the mental powers to suspect anything. Just cringe and flee in terror as the giant can of RAID floats from over the horizon to your general direction.

Get your memo to tantruming Ted Cruz. Trump is done with the primaries. Apparently, Ted Cruz and sore loser Cruzers are not.

Actually I did vote for Romney. And Rubio. What I did learn from those two betrayals is that I must now follow the Romney Rule in the future and “vote my conscience” Therefore, I will never support TPA Ted Cruz. Ever. And I can assure you there are millions of “low info” Trump supporters who feel the same about Rafael Edward Cruz.
