A day after a video captured white officers pinning down and shooting a black man outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, federal authorities are investigating the case.
Alton Sterling, 37, is dead. The U.S. Justice Department's Civil Rights Division is leading an investigation into what happened. And the president of the NAACP's local branch is calling for the city's police chief and mayor to resign.

You know what’s sad? There was little 21 year old white girl who managed a Raising Cane’s restaurant in New Orleans. 3 black guys robbed, her and stabbed her to death and not a peep on any of the news channels. This happened last week.

Ex-felon with a record.
Possesses an illegal gun.
Is threatening people with gun outside of the store (why police were called in the first place).
Does not comply with cop commands.
Fights cops while on the ground.
And people wonder why he was shot? Really?

About 15 years ago, in the SF bay area I was on foot and two policemen confronted me and as required, I told them I had a CCW and was armed. Everything was cordial up to that point. They then slammed me to the ground. Both were on me and one was reaching for my holster to get the gun. I screamed it was loaded and ready to fire. I really didn’t want to get shot with my own Glock. They detained me almost and hour and had to let me go because everything was legal.
The dead man had a reported 19 criminal arrests and some jail time. THIS NEEDS MORE DETAILS.

Store owner called the cops on Sterling for reportedly starting trouble. First report. NEEDS ACCURATE UPDATING.

GUN: At least one news station in DC said Sterling had a gun. Where it was and did he try to use it NEEDS TO BE ANSWERED.

Now it has the FBI and DOJ getting involved in the investigation. After Comey’s sell-out on Hillary, do you think you can trust the FBI to be competent, and since they work under the Lynch/Holder DOJ, do you think both can be unbiased and objective?
If you answer NO to either of these, then you are in the right ball-park.

I’ve been stopped twice in my car when I had a visible handgun. I did not get a ticket. One gun was on the console and one was seen when I opened the glovebox. The highway patrol officer never made a comment either time. I was not in CA. I am sorry you went thru your ordeal.

He was a felon with multiple crimes including sex offenses with minors. They were probably arresting him because he had multiple warrants and he reached for his gun.

Multiple shots are heard in the video, in quick succession. There's no way to tell that Sterling didn't fire, based on that video.
