If Mike Pence is “divisive and unpopular”, why would the campaign for Herself be pointing this out? Just keep quiet about it, and let the Republicans hang themselves with their own rope.
Or maybe this is “disinformation”. Calling Pence “divisive and unpopular” is a code word and dogwhistle out to all the street brawlers that they should be taking up and repeating this calumny and slander in their signs, and shouting it out at rallies and gatherings.
The game is being played for the angles and bank shots. Whether this strategy works or not depends on just how good they got at the game of pool.
