This is a war between civilizations.
As long as technological progress never moved beyond muzzle loaders and crude agriculture, the Muslim civilization had some advantages and won more than it lost.
Muslim civilization has been falling behind since the reformation/renaissance, which were co-dependent on each other.
Muslims have attempted to assert dominance about every hundred years since then. Western (Christian) civilization has soundly defeated them each time, and they have lost territory each time.
The last time was roughly 1900 - 1918. Muslims lost the River war, then chose the wrong side in the First World War.
It has been a hundred years, they have forgotten the lessons of the Mahdi in the Sudan and of Attaturk.
We need to teach them over again and reduce their power yet again.
If that is not enough, then consider the first hundred years of Islamic war by the Varsity led by Mohammad and his disciples that utterly destroyed classical western civilization, burned, destroyed, looted, and raped across northern Africa, southern Europe and central India.
What items remain from classical western civilization are only those that were hidden, too difficult to destroy, or were used by individual muslims for there own purposes and thus preserved.
Classical Christianity suffered the same fate and only parts and pieces were left for the formation of the Church.
And of course, Islam introduced the world to slavery of the most vile sort, a practice which continues to this day.
They also completely destroyed the millennial old grain basket of the world by introducing vast herds of goats to denude the North African coast of vegetation, changing the area and climate to as semi-arid place were few wish to live.
