The report, "Stagnation Generation", calls for the social contract between young and old generations to be renewed, as millennials are at risk of becoming the first generation to earn less over their lifetime than earlier generations.
According to the report, in the U.K. today's 27 year olds are earning the same amount as a 27 year old would have 25 years ago.
"A typical millennial has actually earned £8,000 ($10,587) less during their twenties than those in the preceding generation generation X," the report claims.

Meanwhile, young people are failing to get onto the property ladder. The report claims someone from the baby boomer generation at the age of 30 was 50 percent more likely to own their own home than a millennial of the same age.
"Millennials are spending an average of £44,000 more on rent in their 20s than baby boomers did," the report warns.
The report, published this week, was produced by the Intergenerational Commission, a group of business leaders, academics and policy experts which is tasked with examining the issue of intergenerational justice. The Commission is run by an independent think tank, the Resolution Foundation.

Maybe they should turn off the cell phones, log out of Facebook and spend their time actually developing useful skills...then go and work their buts off like their parents probably did...then maybe they’ll deserve to earn what the previous generation did.
I’m all for reducing all taxes they are forced to pay. But that’ll hurt the social contract they want to support obamaphones and other things they consider to be “necessities” for all.
Hey, they are competing in a global economy against people worldwide who are looking for property in stable economies. Get over it. This is what you want.
That’s what the purpose of the Obamacare Death Panels is.
Trimming years off the lifespan is HUGE for SocSec and Medicare financials.
>>Can somebody here please tell me what that means???<<
Millenials don’t LIKE to get up in the morning and go to work. They don’t LIKE someone telling them their work is crap. They don’t LIKE having rules and dress codes and stuff.
The social contract is to give them whatever they want and when they want it.
My interpretation: "Hey Dad, I need some money."
and NO
pokemon go
raves
living in the basement past 30
post graduation trips
birthday party excursions
etc.
When we hit about 16 to 18 we put off childish things.
Did you sign a contract? I know I didn’t. Show me an original with my signature on it.

It means that if you’re over 50, they want you to hand over your money and property
as millennials are at risk of becoming the first generation to earn less over their lifetime than earlier generations
And yet they keep electing Democrats. Stop digging that hole!
Not if Hillary can get her hands on it first.
How about 10 years mandatory National Service?
They should more rightly be called “Perennials” instead of “Millennials” because they never grow up and stop whining.
Sounds like they want to keep getting their childhood weekly allowances from mom and dad until their government retirement checks come rolling in or mom and dad kick the bucket.
Remember - In America, Barack Obama’s Dream Act considers all illegals to be children if they are born after June 15, 1981.
And Obamacare considers them children until age 26.
If this trend continues we will be reading obituaries about 90 year old children dying.
I don't recall signing such a document.
"calls for the social contract between young and old generations to be renewed"It means that Millennials want Gen-X to pay for their extended childhood just like Gen-Xers are paying for the Millennials' parents (Boomers) to have an early and lavish retirement. Can somebody here please tell me what that means???
The Millenials are reaping what they sowed. They voted America’s nightmare into office. Suck it, suckers.
