Listen, I don’t HATE him but his pompous tone and attitude does grate on my nerves. Newt’s scientific incompetence has caused incalculable damage to the US economy.

From the start, I observed there was something that just was not right about him, but couldn’t quite put my finger on naming it.

You mention his eyes. Yes, there was a certain disconnect between his words and his eyes. They belied the opposite of what the words he spoke.

Gradually, more and more people came to see his disingenuous nature.

God only knows what his future is now.

I’m just happy I won’t have to see or hear him from this point forward. At least that is my prayer!

P Lease understand I am not a Newt supporter, but how did he cause incalculable damage to the US economy? No disrespect, I just would like to know. I just thought he did a stupid couch ad with Pelozi.

Cruz/his team, went after Melania FIRST and also trashed Trump long before Trump said anything untoward against him.

This is a thread celebrating the Trump nomination and his running mate, Pence. Yet here you are, trashing Trump for things he did NOT do, and praising Ted Cruz, who is a TRAITOR, a LIAR, and a damned FRAUD, who is ineligible to be president and lost the primaries!

GET OVER IT; TEDDY STINKS ON ICE, HIS SPEECH WAS UTTER CRAP, BADLY WRITTEN, EVEN MORE BADLY DELIVERED, AND IS THE WORST CONVENTION SPEECH THAT I KNOW of!

Lies, lies, and more lies about Trump, isn't going to win you any plaudettes!

Even the head of the Texas delegation was appalled, tonight, at Cruz's speech!

If anything, Cruz should have said, “Mr. Trump, I am sorry for the toxic misrepresentations I threw out at you during my campaign,” and set the record straight. He needed to set the record straight line by line so the Hillary campaign has no chance to regurgitate the lies he dumped on the political landscape. Also, to his followers, he needed to reveal the truth about Trump, so they will not continue to indulge in the fabrications that he has spun. This he failed to do as well as give his support to Trump. He is a failed candidate on the political landscape that has left in his wake a toxic waste needing a cleanup.

There is something extremely WRONG with Teddy!

Someone kept him on a VERY tight leash when he ran for the Senate, so nobody noticed. Also, he lied, by commission and omission, SO much, that the public didn't truly know who nor what he really is. Once the primaries began.....the barn doors flew open and all of the disgusting manure came spilling out. And he soon began to even look different!

I NEVER want to hear that cringe making voice again, nor see his creepy visage!

Cruz plagarized all of Donald Trump’s lines and talking points in his speech. Waiting for the media to call him out just like the storm they tried to create over Melania.

Thursday night primetime, will put a stop to all this nonsense.

Pence’s speech was solid. We didn’t need or expect him to light the world on fire with his oratory. I’m thinking he’s exactly the right man for the job.

Walker was good, well I thought so, wouldn’t give Hillary the password for his phone.

I missed Newt, will listen later.

Sadly, the MSM will NEVER do that. How do I know? Because Teddy was doing that ( repeating Trump’s speeches and doing it badly ) and NOBODY in the MSM called him out on it! :-(

> Cruz’s sarcastic remark toward the New York delegation was inappropriate...but it is unfortunate the crowd continued to react the way that it did

Overall he was giving a great speech. He simply chose to end it badly.

Cruz should have taken the YUGE hint that crowd was giving him and said the right thing for this moment in time for the sake of unity. The crowd was truly revved up enthusiastically anticipating it toward the end before the “endorse Trump” chants started. He had the momentum in that speech and he basically dropped the mic on that moment. I went back to watch this again, and I see the moment he strayed, and he had the momentum right there at that moment. He should have taken the hint from ‘the New York delegation’, and the rest of America in that hall who were trying to get him to the right place, but he mocked them instead. What a putz. That speech could have ended with a jubilant roar of approval and instead he settled for being bood off the stage. For the smartest guy ever, this guy just can’t take a *#&! hint.

I thought Newt was unreal...He comes out to give his speech, then pauses to “finish” Cruz’ speech for him.

I hear we get to have someone come out of the closet tonight.

He will no doubt marginalize conservative ideals while doing so.
