'BLACK OLIVES MATTER' Outrage after restaurant twists ‘Black Lives Matter’ protest slogan

Paisano’s Italian restaurant was accused of making a joke in poor taste against the “Black Lives Matter” protest when it shared the “Black Olives Matter Try Our Tapenade” slogan out the front of its Alburquerque, New Mexico, premises. People have taken to social media to slam the slogan, with Claudia Sanchez writing: “As a woman of color I find your posting offensive and in very bad taste.
“You simply wish to rub salt in an ugly festering wound which evil minded people refuse to allow to heal. The civilized world no longer has any tolerance for your hateful public display of what passes to you as humor.”
Others criticised the restaurant for apparently deleting negative comments.
But others praised the pun, with Russell Berryman writing: “Always love a good play on words. keep up the good work.”
The restaurant’s owner Rick Camuglia told CBS affiliate KRQE: “We didn’t think anybody would be offended by that. It was not our intent to offend anybody.”
The sign has since been taken down by the restaurant and photos of the billboard have been taken down

Claudia Sanchez needs to get over herself and knock it of with that dumbsh*t “woman of color” nonsense. As a man of no color, she offends me.Leon Coffee is a, now retired, black rodeo clown. He frequented the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, ID when I was younger. Nice guy, wonderful sense of humor. He had a routine that he used to make fun of stereotypes. He'd start out by saying when white people got sunburned, they turned red, that when they were sick, they turned green, when they were scared, they tuned yellow, cold, they turned blue, etc..., but as a black man, when he was sunburned, he was black, scared, he was black, and sick, he was black, and cold, he was black. Then he'd end it with "and y'all call me 'colored'".

I thought the article was about a restaurant, but instead they post a statement to Barack Obama, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the entire Black Lives Matter movement.

I remember being 15. He'll pull thru it just fine, as did my other children. You can't force ideals and opinions. The likely result can be just the opposite intention.
I'm a big subscriber to the Churchillian observation of under forty and a conservative and you have no heart. Over forty and a liberal and you have no brain, reality. My kids have hit the right balance at around 25 years of age, pure conservatives by thirty.
