Trump offers dark vision of America in speech
CBS News ^ | July 22, 2016 | Reena Flores

Posted on 07/22/2016 7:23:15 AM PDT by Rennes Templar

On the final night of a convention filled with mishaps -- of the plagiarism, non-endorsement varieties -- Donald Trump painted a bleak picture of America, even as he officially accepted the Republican party's nomination for presidency.

His name was stamped in bold font across the convention hall jumbotron as he walked on stage. "I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States," Trump began his speech. He paused for a moment before departing from his prepared remarks to join the audience in chanting: "USA! USA! USA!"

At this point, Trump couldn't help but gloat a little over his victory in the primary race.

"Who would have believed that when we started this journey on June 16th of last year we - and I say 'we' because we are a team - would have received almost 14 million votes, the most in the history of the Republican Party," he said, "and that the Republican Party would get 60 percent more votes than it received four years ago." He noted that the Democratic party's primary voter turnout rates were "not so good."

The billionaire proceeded to lay out a dark vision of America: "Our convention occurs at a moment of crisis for our nation. The attacks on our police, and the terrorism in our cities, threaten our very way of life."

"Americans watching this address tonight have seen the recent images of violence in our streets and the chaos in our communities," he continued. "Many have witnessed this violence personally. Some have even been its victims."

"I have a message for all of you," he said. "The crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon -- and I mean very soon -- come to an end. Beginning on January 20th 2017, safety will be restored."

Rush won’t need a monologue today. It sounds like the MSM chorus montage he puts together should run at least 15 minutes.

One only has to revisit campaign 2000 wherein the term “gravitas” was uttered instantly from every newsreaders’ lips.

Hillary Clinton and the Democrats should be worried.

Why? Because Donald Trump delivered Thursday night and did what he needed to do. No, he didn’t deliver a speech with great oratorical flourish. No, he didn’t broaden the base of the party significantly though he did speak about minorities and the LGBTQ community in ways that he hadn’t done before.

What Trump did, and he did it very well, was to raise the stakes of the election and define it in his own terms. Law and order, crime in the streets, and terror. He managed to make the argument, compellingly, that these challenges were the central ones America faced and that given the failures of President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, his way of change was the only way to go.

“Who the heck writes liberal talking points?”

The most accurate answer to that question is “Satan.”

If you don’t believe in Satan, well, sooner or later you will.

Notice, the propaganda ministry is on the same page: Dark speech, extremist, angry, etc. Interesting how they all say the same thing at the same time, isn’t it??

Typical plagiarism by left wing mediots posing as reporters. They are all copying what their master George $oreA$$ is telling them to print.

Good decision. Welcome.

Local Fox reporter this morning summed up the RNC with:

Evil white men are generating a state of fear, America has never been safer based on crime statistics.

Then, he lied about how good the economy is.

Isn’t using “dark” a microaggression against their favorite Barry sons and criminals?

“Me neither. Shut them down. The whole mess is still about overthrowing TRUMP.”

Got into my daughter’s car yesterday. The radio was on an FM music station. Between every song the puke jockey blasted Trump. Had to change the station.

At what point is it going to become a just act to beat people like that?

“The fact that most of these streaming sites were word for word on their assessment shows how the DNC controls the dumbed down college students”

It used to be the CPUSSR that controlled. Now it is the CPUSA. As agents of Satan, of course.

The wheels came off in the Soviet Bloc when people no longer believed newscasts like that one.

Brokaw has been losing it for quite some time. He was dragged out by NBC to lend some credibility to just one statement, “It was a dark speech.”

That the word “dark” was the key in all of the MSM’s coverage of the speech is laughable and so transparent. It should be seen as such by even the most stupid of the viewers.
But, alas....

Love ya, dsc. Hang right in there and give ‘em hell. I too suffer from splody head and intend to keep right on splodin’!

I simply stick with the slim choir we have going for us. I use DRUDGE, and DAILY CALLER, and Lou Dobbs and blow the rest off! Especially FOXMegyn News Corp!

The media is killing this country and entertaining their effort to do so, by listening and slathering them with ratings, is simply a place I am not going.

I am crazy furious at the Marxist sycophants running this country. It gives me great pleasure to see TRUMP rising against all of it and matching their neckless purveyor of corruption, Hillary Clinton.

We are winning and the media is trying to disguise it in an attempt to demoralize us.

I don’t demoralize.

“I don’t demoralize.”

That is one of the hallmarks of a leader.

Great note.

We don’t need to imagine a dark vision; we have the reality here and now, thanks to you-know-who.
