At a victory event on Friday morning Republican nominee for president Donald Trump thanked supporters and took a shot at Sen. Ted Cruz for his speech Wednesday night at the RNC where he did not endorse the candidate and said to "vote your conscience."
"I don't want his endorsement. I don't want his endorsement. Ted, stay home, relax, enjoy yourself."

I don’t want to get too complacent about him being over and done with. If he, Levin, Lee, etc., conspire to create a massive write-in campaign it wouldn’t surprise me in the least. That way, his “vote your conscience” line makes sense.
Yeah, I was surprised to see Rush get bought like that. Seeing him support Cruz, that was the only explanation I could think of. Rush will survive, he has too much market share. Levin’s show will die a slow death.

From this interview I learned Cruz had added TO his speech AFTER presenting it for others to see.
I also realized the full story of what the Cruz SuperPacs did during the campaign
This story needed to be told.
With this presser, Trump effectively nailed shut the coffin Cruz had put himself in.

Rush was "turned" back in HW's days. Rush is and has been for a very long time, a Bush RINO republican. Did you know that Rush did not even brother to vote for Reagan? What kind of a conservative would not vote for Reagan?
IOW, it's really not about Hillary. You're more concerned with destroying Ted Cruz than you are winning the WH with Trump.

How’s he sucking the air out of anything but his own general election pivot? He won...and managed to get a unity bump from Gingrich and Pence’s performances. WHY would he refocus his campaign on beating a dead horse that no non-Republicans care a whit about?

So, this whole thing went right over your head; Ted calling for people to vote Democrat.
Several commentators, including Megyn, wondered why Trump would bring up Teddy Cruz. Very simple. Cruz falsely accused Trump of attacking his father and used that to defend his non endorsement. Trump could not such a lie go unanswered.
