Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Saturday he’s already begun restoring the voting rights of convicted felons one-by-one, after the state Supreme Court rescinded his executive action granting voting rights en masse to more than 200,000 people convicted of serious crimes.

“Last night I instructed my staff to comply with the court’s order and individually restore the rights of the more than 13,000 Virginians who had successfully registered to vote following my April 22nd executive order,” Mr. McAuliffe said in an email to supporters. “Soon they will have their rights back and will be able to have a voice in their society once and for all.”

Mr. McAuliffe, a Democrat and longtime ally of Hillary Clinton, said he’s also ordered his staff to start working through “the entire list of more than 200,000 Virginians whom we have identified as eligible to have their rights restored according to the criteria I have set.”

He needs to help his buddy.
From Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe:

“I am thrilled to congratulate my friend Senator Tim Kaine on his selection to join the Democratic ticket with Hillary Clinton. As a Mayor, Lieutenant Governor, Governor and United States Senator, Tim Kaine has demonstrated that he is the right choice to help lead our country forward as Vice President of the United State. His experience, intellect and dedication to making life better for people from all walks of life will make him an enormous asset to Secretary Clinton throughout the remainder of this campaign and as a leader in her administration over the next four years. This is a proud day for every Virginian.”

It’s good to see he doesn’t have anything more important to do.

It was struck down for a blanket restoration. This time he’s restoring rights “individually.”

Whether in masse or individually, it still is an executive order. Need to read the court order to see if he has the authority to rewrite Virginia law.

Except that isn’t true; this was delegated.

No, that must come from a judge in a court.

It’s less work to give voting rights to felons (natural democrats) than it is to make up an extra 13,000 fraudulent ballots. The democrats will do both, but this saves a little work and gives them a larger buffer, which they are likely to need.

this is pretty blatant

Oh, I think they're just getting started. And now that the Goddess has been openly exempt from the law, they won't worry about how open their vote fraud is. The Left is this close to complete destruction of our society and (what's left of) the Supreme Court. Nothing short of death is going to stop them from taking it.

With nothing in Virginia law to specify the contents of a valid consideration, we go into dangerous territory to assume it in. What may cut our way today may cut against us tomorrow. Better that the law should be changed to spell it out.

I'd slap him with a “Contempt of Court,” fine his rat butt and put it in prison. McAuliffe is a Clintoon protege and behaving like it in this matter.
These people have no scruples. This proves it.

To these arrogant libtards the constitution and laws are just minor obstacles - something temporarily between them an their goal.

They just figure out a loophole or a work-around so they can go through the law, under it, over it, or around it to do what they want.

The intent or the spirit of the law means nothing to them.
If there is a way to cheat they will do it.

As this also clears them in the system for buying a gun, it’ll be fun to see the body count.

The ones who successfully registered after his unlawful action have to reregister now.

SOP for Democrats. Laws are only there to be found a way around. No law is law to a Democrat. They are above, and beyond any law.

Not if he's restoring them all. It still becomes a "blanket" restoration, he's just merely going through the appearance of individual consideration. This is a loop hole, and I am suspecting the court will not be amused at his attempt to exploit it contrary to their order.

I wish Republicans had these sort of balls when defying courts. Our side merely rolls over and whines.

Why should they have scruples? NO ONE stops them. We can talk about “the law” til we’re blue in the face, but until these people are restrained - literally - what do they care?

Hopefully someone will tracking the felons whose “rights” McAuliffe restores and publicize their criminal careers where appropriate. A few Willie Hortons and this will blow up of the Dems big time.

I wonder if felons have a party affiliation disparity...?
