The mother of the U.S. ambassador killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks called on Republicans to stop invoking her son on Friday, blasting their references to his death as “opportunistic and cynical.”
“As Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens’s mother, I am writing to object to any mention of his name and death in Benghazi, Libya, by Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party,” Mary F. Commanday wrote in a letter to the editor published in the New York Times Friday.

Well perhaps Ambassador Stevens’ mother should spend more time condemning and assailing that insidious YouTube video creator, you know, the one that incited all those protests? Hillary Rotten Criminal said that was why it all happened, so redirect your angst, ok Mom?
It’s not reasonable to honor this woman’s wishes. She’s out of luck. Chris Stevens wasn’t a minor figure that can be ignored, he was the Ambassador.
His death is due to the dereliction of duty by both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They put petty election year politics ahead of American lives. They could have sent help and wouldn’t do it. And so Ambassador Stevens and the Americans who fought to rescue him died.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary and Obama enhanced her financial status, and wrote the letter to The New York Times for her.
Donald Trump would have taken your son’s call and done everything to save his life. He wouldn’t have ignored hundreds and hundreds of pleas for additional security.
It was a democrat who let your son die.

This was what the whole "private server" story was all about. Hillary Clinton was basically overseeing a shadow government that was conducting military and intelligence operations without legitimate government oversight. Amb. Stevens was complicit in this.
I wonder what her reward is for doing this? Anyway she can make the request, and Trump and everybody else can ignore it.

It’s no secret that Stevens was running US weapons used in Libya to Al Qaeda groups in Syria to start a new war there.
There’s been muttering about Benghazi being used as a site for funneling arms to Syrian rebels to use against Assad. That might fit the bill.
His mother should talk to her son’s fiancee Lydie Denier who met with Trump recently in California. Lydie described Trump as a class act, a gentleman, a great listener and funny, too. They posed together in a photo that was seen on twitter under her account. They were both beaming.
It’s a shame this lady cannot empathize with Patricia Smith, whose son Sean also perished in Benghazi and who spoke at the Convention.
I feel for her loss but she has no say in this matter. Her son was a high government official and his death was due to high government incompetence. She can vote for Hillary if she wants but otherwise stfu about this disgraceful issue.

Well, it’s not about your son. It’s about an American ambassador that was setup and left to die. There are dozens of current living ambassadors that should be all of our concern. Looks like Hillary is softening the campaign ground with artillery fire.
What a disgrace. She bred him, but she's not his mother - she's abandoned motherhood.
