Sorry to hear about your former SIL’s partner. Guess it’s not a trip you’re looking forward to.

Thankfully, they live in same county.
I think I've been to more funerals for my former inlaws (including ex-husband) than my own family (none in my immediate family Thank God).
I'm looking forward to some cooler temps.

Well having been to the Leech Lake Indian Reservation on our mission trip last week, I did learn a Native American dance. I would assume it’s a rain dance because Northern Minnesota had monster thunderstorms the next two nights while we were there. Maybe it was a “no rain” dance and I messed it up; my legs were shot from the days’ work and I shuffled more than danced.

But for the 25 high school kids and five adults it was a terrific experience. Eighth mission trip I’ve been on, and most have been to places I would otherwise never have gone, to serve people I would otherwise never have met.

Wow! Actually early enough for an honorable mention? That doesn’t happen often. LOL!

YES!! We got rain! Not the monsoon like you’re getting but a gentle soaking rain. Could’ve used more than the .6 inch we got but every little bit helps. Chances for a little more the next couple of days.

Did you take Zicam? That helps go quicker; days instead of weeks.

When I have a cold, I like to eat chicken soup, drink hot tea and snuggle up in a quilt....so I hate it when I get a cold and it’s 90 degrees outside!

Yes, it was so nice to be able to sit outside this afternoon and not swelter. Sat outside the HQ (there’s a big overhang) when no one was there to get signs or bumper stickers. Watching and listening to the rain was relaxing.
