...In his campaign trail, Duterte had promised to eradicate criminality by focusing on corruption and illegal drugs.

He even promised to kill thousands of criminals engaged in such activities and dump their bodies in Manila Bay.

Early in office, he said what was left from his campaign funds will be used as reward to those who will kill or catch drug pushers.

Popularly known as “The Punisher,” Duterte was once accused of being on top of the Davao Death Squad, a vigilante group responsible for the deaths of more than a thousand suspected criminals in Davao City where Duterte served as mayor for more than 20 years.

Yeah, criminals are such great guys.

I understand that was sarcasm, and it was a point that was needed to be made. Hitler was reportedly a charming man, but that didn't mean much to those innocents on the trains to the death camps.

BTW, do you beat your breast and beg for sinners to see the light when you pray?

Thank God you weren’t around when Jesus said “he who is without sin, cast the first stone”

You would have landed a beauty

Google Judge Parker. He was brought in to clean up the old West...and he did! No mollycoddling for sure.

The number of killings of drug dealers during legitimate police operations is reported as 239. The rest are thought to be the dealers themselves killing each other.

Police data, however, showed that only 239 drug suspects were killed in police operations from June 30 (the day Duterte assumed office) to July 22.

“We have received information that they [drug syndicates] are killing each other,” Dela Rosa told reporters.

[The killings you see now, you are always pointing to the police but the police are only doing legitimate operations. Those who are salvaging suspects and throwing bodies everywhere, they are the work of the drug syndicates],” Dela Rosa said.

Sure, as long as you don't consider MURDERING people a crime.

How many Nazis broke the law on krystalnacht?

When the crime involves a GUN, Liberals blame the gun.

When the crime involves DRUGS, Conservatives blame the drugs.

We need leadership that directs law enforcement to do the job.

Yes, but regular law-abiding citizens killing drug dealers isn't. Or shouldn't be.

As anyone who has ever lived in the Philippines knows human life is very cheap there, anyone you don’t like can be killed for a couple of hundred bucks. Now all they have to do is claim someone is a drug dealer and government sanctioned vigilantes will step in and do it for free..

Suggesting this is a good idea and should be done here is pure insanity.

Ah, I see. Criminals are not bad, they are fun. People who point out that criminals are evil, are in fact bad.

I remember seeing pics of that wannabe Satanist with the horn implants and face tattoos from back when he was on trial for murder. According to the Massachusetts State Police he was not a member of the Hells Angels and didn’t even own a motorcycle. The ringleader of the murders was a Hells Angel but his two accomplices were not.

If he is a "wannabe Satanist" then what is a Satanist?

’ If he is a “wannabe Satanist” then what is a Satanist? “

That would be a judgment call since AFAIK there is no official roster.

Ya we wouldn't want to be judgemental. After all, plenty of hard-working church-going taxpayers have 666 tattooed onto their foreheads.

He never claimed to be a Satanist so it’s not clear what motivates ‘Caius Veiovis’.

He was still Roy Gutfinski and sans horns and tats when a prosecutor in a 2000 assault/blood-drinking case labelled him a Satanist. It’s not something that he ever seems to have claimed on his own. He reportedly told police at the time that he was a vampire. Psychopath is likely closest to the truth.

And while the horns and tats get all the attention I figure that his murder/dismemberment activity is probably more significant. Either way he didn’t own a motorcycle and wasn’t a Hells Angel.

Ah yes. Kind of like "it's not clear what motivated the latest islamic terrorist suicide attacker."

By the way, are you going to be following me around from thread to thread or is it just this one time?
