In my august opinion, this has George Herbert Walker Bush and his loudmouth wife (Barbara Pierce Bush, you know Jebbie’s mama) written all over it. it’s a shame too, as I used to like and respect the Bush family. One should mark this as a life lesson in how to effectively consign the respect you have earned to the dumpster.

I submit they have only themselves to blame.

On the other hand, instead of getting traction, let’s hope it is soon forgotten. Or serves as a large caveat about anything they “report” as news about the campaign.

Everyone knows they are a liberal rag anyway.

This endorsement is good news for Trump, given its endorsement of Romney and this list of losers.

If anything, this endorsement, at this time INDICATES ABJECT FEAR on the liberal side.

They know that if Trump only does half of what he’s campaigned on, he will turn the clock back on liberalism FOR DECADES.

Now if only the PSYCHO CRUZ and other conservatives could just figure that out...

The Houston Chronicle is a liberal rag. They endorse Republicans only when they think they will win with or without their endorsement, and they do it to try to pretend that they are “fair and balanced.”

Amazing that as the fourth largest city in the U.S. we have only one major newspaper and it’s incredibly LIBERAL. Mayors are always Democrat. At least Turner isn’t a flaming liberal lesbian like the last one. Crime rate in city is climbing and the city is really showing a lot of wear and tear. Houston Independent School District opened an Arab immersion primary school last year. Bush and Perry welcomed the muzzies to our area with open arms.

No one in Texas is surprised. Our major newspapers are infested with Democrat graduates of the Leftist University of Texas in Austin. Every major paper is against conservatives, and why conservatives continue to buy ad space and subscriptions to these Democrat propagandists is a mystery explained only by laziness and apathy.

Houston formerly was a relatively conservative city in Texas. Over the past 20 years it has become more leftist. They elected a lesbian mayor.

So having the Houston Chronicle endorse Hillary is not surprising.

Hillary will lose throughout the rest of Texas.

Sounds like the Seattle of Texas.
Seattle wrecks the politics of the whole state of Washington.

Forgive me going a bit off topic, but lately I have been wondering if Texas is such a good place to consider for retirement...my son and his family live in TX. Had seriously considered it, but with oil bust and the immigration problems, I am reconsidering. Thoughts?

I quit reading the Chronicle when they published an editorial which misused the word ‘loose’ for ‘lose’ along with a couple of grammar mistakes in the same editorial.

I wrote a letter to the editor, but it was not published. Big surprise.

When folks whose income depends on the words they use can’t be bothered to edit their own editorials for grammar and spelling, they are of no use to educated voters and will only damage the uneducated.

This is definitely shaping up to be a people vs. establishment election

Yep. I don't expect Trump will receive any major newspaper endorsements except maybe the NY Post.
