The illegal invasion is a religious mission for Paul Ryan.. His loyalty is to the US Catholic Bishops, not to the Constitution and ‘we the people’. Furthermore, Ryan is all about using we tax payers to fund his mission work, and calls it charity.

How about a compromise. If you accept amnesty, of any sort, for coming into the country illegally, you can never be a citizen, can only qualify eventually for a green card, and can never, ever, vote.

Paul Ryan is totally right. Many anti-illegal voices have sabotaged their own case by not knowing the English language.
But AMnesty does exist and has existed ever since the status of illegal alien was created out of thin air in the 1920s.
My wife received Amnesty. She entered the country illegally. Because she married me she was given legal status, and then citizenship without paying any penalty.
Millions of legal immigrants come here illegally. Then they applied for legal status and patiently wait in line for legal entry. A big mistake of everyone in this debate is in not recognizing how much amnesty we have had since the 1920s. Of course pre-1920s there was no need for amnesty as there was no illegality to forgive.

I’d add that Ryan can play with the definition of Amnesty but I simply don’t want a hoard of people of other cultures and unknown beliefs piling into this country. And I don’t want to pay for their food, housing, medical care, and protection, and protection for me against some of them.

Ryan is absolutely not correct technically,philosophically, morally or legally. Comment #4 explains it quite well. Amnesty with a fine is still amnesty (but with a fine). Ryan is playing word games. I hope his constituents can see through his dishonesty.
