It is entirely possible that this is being done
to create a visual of half filled venues.
Then again could just be the fire marshall doing
his job. would be interesting to see what the
occupancy rating was versus the number of people
let in.
How did a facility with more seats than “permitted” people ever meet code in the first place?
Something stinks.
The article says that it can accommodate 4140 people at banquet tables but they cut his event off at 1000.
I would be curious to find out if any other politicians have used the space and how many were allowed in for them.
Occupancy rate was 4400. This is stone, cold BS.
Malfeasance is the word that springs to mind.
Doubtless directly traceable to that lumpy, whiny, beta-looking Dem mayor.
If there were empty seats it’s pretty obvious.
This is absolute misuse of one’s office for political reasons. Corruption in your face. It speaks of cronyism at the lowest levels to the highest....................
This is not rocket science, all areas of Assembly are required to have maximum occupancy signage posted.
It’s math, and if the guy is making up his own fire code, there should be legal action taken.
The Columbus Convention Center is pretty big, easily several thousand in just one of the rooms. I agree with Trump that this was politically motivated. Hillary has to cancel hers for lack of enthusiasm (or else she’s sick), but Trump by comparison is getting thousands of attendees to her dozens.
Scroll down on the link to Exhibit hall E, which is the one where Trump was.

When Marshall is used as someone's first or last name (like Marshall Tucker or the Marshall Plan) it is spelled with two "l's".
