Some kid with mental issues saw a machete lying around, something spontaneous came over him, then he grabbed it and started hacking away at the first person he saw.
Whoever left that machete lying around needs to be arrested!

Update from police
The victim has serious injuries to his arm, torso and his head.
He is not co-operating with police.
Police have denied reports that he was followed to the hospital by his attackers, and have reiterated that no firearms were involved.
Their investigation continues.

Quick summary...
Emergency services were called to the Royal at 2.25pm to a report that a man, 26, had been stabbed in his arms and legs
Victim is believed to have been attacked with a machete, and has gone into surgery having lost a lot of blood
Police described his condition as ‘serious’
It is believed he was assaulted in Netherton Way, Bootle, and then drove himself to hospital
No firearms were involved in the incident
Royal is still accepting emergencies but urging patients with non-urgent problems to go elsewhere
Police presence has now been reduced at the scene

Message just in from the Royal Liverpool Hospital:
Our emergency department is still accepting patients with serious or urgent health matters.
We urge patients with non-urgent health problems, to consider other health services such as walk in centres, GP, pharmacies or NHS 111.
Why would they lock the hospital down if he was stabbed elsewhere and only drove their for treatment?
