The thought struck me today of Paul Ryan, weeks ago, agreeing to headline a NeverTrump Rally that will convene a few days after his primary. Think about this. Reagan had a fabulous, energetic agenda, but he had a young intelligent conservative named Newt Gingrich leading the charge.
Who will Trump have if Ryan wins his primary? Paul Ryan. You think Ryan will promote Trump's agenda with as much vim and vigor? I doubt it.
Win or lose, time for a new speaker

I'm awake because the dog alerted. I think maybe on a skunk. Last night we had a skunk raid the chicken coop for eggs. Not unusual, and not a big deal, unless ... skunk meets dog. I am in no mood to give doggie a peroxide bath at this hour.
I have no idea what to expect in the Ryan race. News has been sparse, which makes me think Nehlan has better than a slim chance. That letter from 50 Bush acolytes may have been timed to help Ryan, now that I think about it.
Hillary will be holding a rally in the last phone booth in Kansas City, 12th St. and Vine. Bring a Kansas City Woman and a bottle of Kansas City wine.
In Title — the date should be changed from 8/8 to 8/9.

GLAD to see Trump spending so much time in NC (my state). It’s such an important swing state. Tight race for Governor is ongoing also. Hopefully, Governor McCrory will be there and will be recognized by Trump.

Well, hello, fellow Tar Heel. Yes, it’s a great state - one where we had a Republican sweep in 2012 - in the State Legislature, the Governership, and the Senate. We can only hope this year will be as good. It’s going to be tough.

Having my first cup of coffee right now. Had seen last week a picture of someone pouring from a special coffee maker what is called “Greek coffee”. I was trying to wake up this morning and I would assume that Greek coffee is really strong and you have to have a special coffee making pot for making that coffee, cannot use the regular coffee making machine.
