Albuquerque is the 5th most violent city in the nation (ATF statistics)
KOAT News 7 Albuquerque ^ | August 12, 2016 | Nancy Laflin

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —For the past three months federal agents worked undercover with local cops and made more than 100 arrests for everything from drug trafficking to murder.

“Statistics tell us that our state has one of the highest violent crime rates in the nation,” New Mexico District U.S. Attorney Damon Martinez said.

Special agent Tom Atteberry said Albuquerque is especially violent.

Atteberry is from Phoenix, Arizona, and brought a team to New Mexico because crime has gotten so out of control. He said New Mexico's justice system allows repeat violent offenders to get released as quickly as police arrest them.

"There's a lot of people on the street that shouldn't be. A lot of armed career criminals, people with three four and five felony convictions roaming the streets,” Atteberry said.

"I've been at this close to 25 years and I can tell you without a doubt this has been the most successful joint federal, state, local county operation that we've ever been involved in,” New Mexico State Police Chief Pete Kassetas said.

I think CA and NM people are willing accomplices to the lying by their Democrat overlords.

I believe I read recently that Odessa is the highest crime city in TX. It is only about 100,000 population and votes conservative.

Does Portland have a downtown statue of Theodore Roosevelt, or is that Pancho Villa? I can’t remember, but I was there in 1998.

Albuquerque has an area of the city that LEOs refer to as the “war zone”. The city even went to the extent of putting in barricades to slow traffic there due to the number of drive by shootings.

you have to be careful about those "ratings"....there was a study a couple of months ago stating where I live is one of the most dangerous....

only thing was, It left out any city or other entity that didn't follow certain recording methods so many very high crime cities conveniently were left off the list...

Dangerous places, you can just feel it in the air. Albuquerque is like that. Memphis is another.

What part of the city are you referring to?

I lived there for two years. I think it is beautiful and could be one of the best places in the country to live. Unbeatable weather. But, yeah, I wouldn't go out at night alone and that was, wow, 18 years ago.

Seattle has Lenin if that helps. Portland has an elk, not sure about the others.

Tucson has a huge statue of Pancho Villa on a rearing horse in the middle of town.

What a shame. It has a wonderful climate and very beautiful scenery. I have visited there often. Maybe I should change future vacation plans

".... the State as a whole is a ‘Rat paradise....

Not really. Mostly just three counties are lefty. Some of the southern and eastern counties are among the most conservative in the nation.

Unfortunately it is generally so nice here that leftists fleeing the hellholes they created are moving in and bringing their leftist hellhole policies with them.

So, in another ten years or so, what you say now will likely be more accurate.

That hardly tells the whole story, and does not disprove what I said.

But nice try.

One thing for sure, leftists rarely turn from their leftism. For many it is a religion.
