Thought I just heard on 1010 wins that a parkway to the airport closed off? Don’t quote me, not sure of that report.
Two terminals of New York City’s JFK Airport are being evacuated after an unknown shooter reportedly opened fire in the area. Flights to the airport are being diverted.
The shots were first heard at 9:30 p.m. local time in John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 8, according to witnesses. Another round of shots was fired later at 10:15 p.m. in Terminal 1 of the airport, PIX11 reported.
Witnesses posted images on social media that show a crowd rushing to evacuate.
Police said that all flights in and out of JFK have been canceled. They are currently looking for the suspect.
Social media accounts show massive panic at Terminal 8. Other passengers, including those in the air, are also concerned, reporting that their flights are being diverted.
It has emerged that police have been alerted over two shots allegedly fired.
At this point, NYPD cannot confirm whether any of the shots were actually fired. They confirmed being dispatched to JFK’s Terminal 8 based on Port Authority’s request for assistance.

Given how many people have cell phones, one clue a report may be a hoax if instead of dozens of 911 calls about the supposed gunshots, there is only one call...
Magee Hickey on PIX interviewed a guy trying to pick up family -they told them to wait a few hours and wouldn’t let him in to the terminal- he was on foot. Flight tracker shows nothing in or out still.
Some reports coming out say shots are not confirmed.
