Donald Trump is heading to November like a certain zeppelin heading to New Jersey, in a darkening sky that crackles with electricity. He is fighting crosswinds and trying new tacks — hiring the head of Breitbart News to run his campaign, trying on a new emotion (regret) in a speech on Thursday night, promising to talk more this week about immigration, his prime subject. There’s still no telling what will happen when the gasbag reaches the mooring.

It could be that the polls are right, and Mr. Trump will go down in flames. But while that will solve an immediate problem, a larger one will remain. The message of hatred and paranoia that is inciting millions of voters will outlast the messenger. The toxic effects of Trumpism will have to be addressed

If this nation can recover after Obama, it can recover from almost anyone.

Imagine the premise of having to rebound from keeping terrorists out, sending illegals back, putting a wall on our border, creating jobs, lifting minorities by doing so, and on and on and on...

Over and over again, we give Democrats a chance to rule, and they screw it up every single time.

Recover? Yeah, well we’ll be doing a lot of that over the next eight years.

By then the New York Times probably won’t exist.

Good riddance.

The best way to respond to the NY Slime is to write a letter, it gets their attention better than e-mail as their site gets thousands of e-mails. A letter unnerves their editors, as they cannot believe someone would take the time to send a letter. Send it to:
Pinch the Bitch, c/o
Elizabeth Spayd, Public Editor
620 Eighth Avenue
New York, NY 10018

Hey, it only costs 46 cents and it keeps the postal service in business.

The hatefulness and venom of those who call themselves “progressives” really seem to hit new highs by the day.....

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It won’t slack off even after Trump wins, we will have 8 solid years of this Trump bashing.

The only people that I know, that are note going to support Trump, are doing so for religious reasons- yes, I’ve painted the picture of a Killary presidency.

From the Times article:

“It could be that the polls are right, and Mr. Trump will go down in flames. But while that will solve an immediate problem . . .”

Q: How does one recognize “hate speech,”
“microaggressions,” or “dog whistles”?

A: The statement must be said by a conservative about a liberal. By definition.

The toxic effects of Trumpism will have to be addressed...

Oh, it's nothing that a few death camps can't manage, I'm sure. These people are absolutely, clinically insane.

One thing that might help would be for the NY Times editorial board to cease its relentless warfare on the middle class. Respect our morals. Stop trying to run, or end, our lives. That might help. And it isn't going to happen. For all of the sanctimonious, superficial, pseudo-intellectual nonsense propounded like received truth, these people don't really have a clue either about why they're despised, which they are, or what to do about it, which they won't. You can't reach people like that, and they can't reach us except with the crude club of totalitarian authority. To which there can be only one reply.

Since you brung it up, I believe it was Bernard Goldberg who mentioned that 75% of the NYT Editorial Board are gays.

I agree, Hillary is the one who resembles a gasbag that will bring destruction.

This garbage sounds like Hillary’s staff wrote it. The NYT has sunk really low if this is the best their editorial board can do.

Funniest part, the editorial makes it sound like the most important issue our country faces is making sure we make things easy and comfortable for immigrants, legal or illegals.

I don't even know where to start. Bigotry? Nativism? Really?

The biggest prejudice we face in our society, by far, is elitism. This piece ‘looks down its nose’ at those the writers disagree with in life. It's not about respectful disagreement. It's attempted humiliation and dismissal. That's disgusting.

“nativist” is the liberal smear word for “patriot”

Liberals try (sometimes) to pretend they don’t despise our country and their fellow Americans, but they do. They really really do despise America and Americans.

That is why pompous gasbags like the NY Times editorial writers loathe Donald Trump. He epitomizes everything they hate about America.

Yeah. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after handling a copy of the New York Slimes and use liberal amounts of eyewash if you read any of it. If reading online, be sure to run a scan of your anti-slime software to make sure your computer is not corrupted by the gross amount of lies and bias.

Suggested protective wear before making the unadvised decision to read the New York Slimes:

That is the exact opposite of the point! No part of you should be allowed to hang out or be otherwise exposed!

you’re right, NYT - the hatred and violence needs to be addressed - and President Trump will be happy to take care of that
