Since I wasn’t into Marvel comic books, I can’t really say if she looks the part or not. I’ve only seen Zendaya in commercials, and I thought she is cute.
I’ve only seen her with long hair. With short hair, she looks like Justin Bieber. =8-0>
Sony/Columbia keep having to use the Spider Man character or it reverts to Disney/Marvel.

I agree since “total creativity” is to take a already established character & story line and “re-invent” it. That’s much more “artistic” then a new character & story. (Do I need to put the sarcasm tag?)

There is really nothing much more to talk about, especially coming from gadflies in the low-margin overrated but sassy loud entertainment segment of the economy, especially from the Canuckian variety of that sewage segment.

I'm a comic fan who would not have a problem with non-white MJ; but I would prefer they either create a new character or stick with the original comic book depiction. How hard would it be to simply have Spidey meet a new girl?

That is the problem, though....most "reboots" rarely are. And in the case of Spiderman, they got it right the first time. The first reboot with the teen Spidey was horrid. I shudder to think what this one will be like.
The first Fantastic Four wasn't up to the first Spiderman, but it was still far better than the "reboot".
Most recent case....Ben Hur. How could anyone think they can do better than Charlton Heston???
It appears that there must be a new drug on the Hollywood scene that is sapping what little real creativity was left.
As long as she plays a pretty young woman with a decent attitude and they don’t try to turn it into a race debate role, I have no problem with it.
