I listened to five minutes of Rush today, and he was chortling with glee at the thought that Trump might “lose his base” because he wasn’t flip-flopping, but “near to it.” Uh, huh. He then proceeded to drop that subject and crow about how his comments on lesbian farmers earlier in the week are “trending.”

That needs to be amended out of the Constitution.
Birthright citizenship may have been appropriate 150 years ago, but it creates millions of problems in the 21st Century - US children with illegal foreign parents.
What I suggest instead is:
Every child born in the USA after today shall have the citizenship of their mother. Any Congress may authorize for its term and for one year thereafter that each child which may be covered by its law is to be treated as if it has the citizenship of its father, except for voting purposes, provided that:
A. the child’s mother is dead and
B. its father fathered no more than three children
No amnesty should be effective until the change is ratified and made part of the Constitution.

And then I also like his stance on building the Wall, get rid of sanctuary cities, Obamacare, regulations on small businesses, healthcare for vets, extreme vetting of Muslims coming from terror promoting countries, business tax rate down to 15%, middle class tax cuts, immediate and expedited deportation of illegals with criminal records, against man-made global warming tax, deregulate energy production, etc etc etc.

The cost would be about as much as a New York to Florida flight ~ $120 to $180 plus a bus ride of from twenty to 200 miles to a place about a mile from the US/Canadian border.

Mule fritters. Trump folks have no where else to go. And most, despite all the sabre rattling, will come up with excuses as to how it all fits a bigger Trump plan.
I suspect he will stay this route but he will tell those who are here, go home, get in line and go through the process just like all the LEGALS and you will probably be allowed back in.
For this to work the process for legal immigration will have to be overhauled and the federal government doesn’t do anything fast or correctly. Odds are he cuts a deal with congress for the wall and deportations with a change in policy that speeds up legal process for all legal immigrants wanting into the country.
May I please have a direct answer to this question?
