Palin: ‘No Matter What Trump Does on Immigration, It’s Going to Be Better Than What Hillary Will Do’
Breitbart ^ | 25 Aug 2016 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 08/26/2016 10:21:51 AM PDT by detective

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK), the 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee, reacted to reports that current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was softening on immigration policy.

According to Palin, regardless of what Trump is doing on immigration, it will be better than the alternative, which is what Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton do with regards to immigration.

Sarah Palin gets it right and sees through the media lies and deception.

Trump favors three things.

1. Securing the border.

2. Enforcing the nations immigration laws and preventing the insanity of illegals disobeying our laws with complete impunity.

3. Preventing the criminal activity from the Mexican crime cartels in the U.S. that is now endemic and is encouraged by the current administration.

He is almost the only politician that I know of who favors these things.

Clinton wants to encourage open borders, crime, drug trafficking and illegals disrespecting and disobeying our laws.

It is really that simple. Everything else is dishonesty and distraction.

Crooked H is for amnesty, no borders and the import of terrorist refugees from Syria.

Enough said.

There’s no doubt that Hillary would be worse.

That does not mean we shouldn’t hold our people’s feet to the fire on this issue.

Vote Trump and hold his feet to the fire.

While better than Hillary, it appears it may be falling short of what we were led to believe was going to be done if elected.

EVerify, build the wall, and sending home invaders have to be on that list. I could accept a situation where the groups that will be immediately sent home are people who got here after a certain date (how about January 2012 or so?) and those who have been in any trouble at all with the law since they got here. When those situations are under control, and the invasion has ceased, then chip away at the remaining invaders. It'll give them some time to go to their homelands and apply to be here legally.

With anything less, what is the point of Trump's desire to be President? The nation won't be saved whatever he does if he caves on his fundamental issue.

Once in the WH, how do propose holding his feet to the fire?

Yeah, hold Trump’s feet to the fire. While he is getting stabbed in the back by the GOP, carpet bombed by the media and attacked by Hillary’s billion dollar war machine. Now there is a winning strategy for Trump you have there.

There is a difference between supporting a candidate and voting for candidate. Apparently, you haven’t learned that yet.

I’ve seen so many people on every side, including this Gary Johnson guy, claiming that evicting “11 million” (how did the 1990s number get magically smaller?) people and sending them back to Mexico is impossible.

I love destroying their stupid false choice. Make life impossible for them by removing all ability to work or receive benefits, and they’ll crawl back to their Third World hellhole in a hot minute. They’re here b/c we make it convenient for them. Remove the convenience factor and they go away and stay there.

Don’t buy into the propganda.

He’s going to build the wall and enforce current law.

That is a 180 degree turnaround from 30 years of bipartisan policy of non-enforcement.

I don’t care what you did 12 months ago. You are not supporting Trump right now. That’s all that matters. If Trump doesn’t win nothing else matters.

If Trump builds a wall — if that’s ALL he does — he belongs on Mr. Rushmore.

“While better than Hillary, it appears it may be falling short of what we were led to believe was going to be done if elected.”

You have to remember we are not electing an emperor with absolute powers, we are electing a president and only Congress can make laws.

There is wishful thinking and objectives, and there is reality.

I am sure Trump will do everything possible. He will secure the borders and stop illegal immigration. I think this is a critical and important action. He cannot direct the US military to go house to house inside the US, demand proof of citizenship or legal residence and drag those out who cannot provide it immediately.

Let me repeat, I am sure Trump will do everything possible to stop illegal immigration and get the country back on its feet.

“anyone that things he gained ground/votes and kept his base happy this week is delusional.”

You are making the perfect the enemy of the good.

Will Trump be perfect?

No.

Will Trump be immeasurably better than Clinton.

Yes.

Palin is softening the inevitable blow. It should come soon.

Trump has wide latitude for partial amnesty; conservatives have zero alternative.

It is that simple.
