Clinton Crash: Trump Closes Gap in Reuters Poll
Breitbart ^ | 26 Aug 2016 | Joel B. Pollak

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has made up significant ground against Hillary Clinton in the past few days in the Reuters/Ipsos poll, where he trailed by 12 points on Tuesday, 45%-33%, but is now behind only 5 points, 41%-36%.

When four candidates are included in the poll — taking in Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Gary Johnson — Clinton’s lead narrows to just 3 points, 39%-36% — a statistical dead heat, given the poll’s margin of error of 3 points.

The poll was taken Aug. 22-25, over a period where Clinton accused Trump of aligning with the Ku Klux Klan and the “alt-right.” The same period also saw new revelations of pay-to-play corruption while Clinton was at the State Department.

Reuters reports:

The Aug. 22-25 opinion poll found that 41 percent of likely voters supported Clinton ahead of the Nov. 8 presidential election, while 36 percent supported Trump. Some 23 percent would not pick either candidate and answered “refused,” “other” or “wouldn’t vote.”

In a separate Reuters/Ipsos poll that includes candidates from small, alternative parties, Clinton leads the field by a smaller margin. Some 39 percent of likely voters supported Clinton in the four-way poll, compared with 36 percent for Trump, 7 percent for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 3 percent for Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

Both polls were conducted online in English in all 50 states. They included 1,154 likely voters and have a credibility interval of 3 percentage points.

It’s movement in the right direction. we need to see more of that. You think it’s ugly now? Watch for the Clinton machine to get really desperate as he continues to move in the right direction.

I still don’t believe that any of these polls are even close to the true numbers.

I think after the ridiculous way that she acted yesterday, and the fact that she isn't talking about any issues, she has sunk herself...

The DNC knew she didn't have the where for all to go against Trump, 16 people couldn't do it, and they were, as far as we know, in a lot better health than she will ever be in...

This was her last shot, and she isn't going to make it...

...and another bites the dust...

This can’t be true. MSNBC claims that Hillbilly is 10 points ahead and going up even further.

Whatever.

Coincides with that jerk from city Bank saying today that the US economy will really tank if Trump is elected president. Like our economy is so damn robust now and that Hillary would be so much better than Trump.

after all just look at her success with the foundation. never mind that Trump actually builds buildings and resorts and makes money for profit The Old Fashioned way, Whereas Hillary and Bill are just big time grifters who both belong in federal prison.

ANYONE not voting for Trump over Clinton is an enemy of our Founders, our Constitution and has no use for law and order

“When four candidates are included in the poll — taking in Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Gary Johnson”

What good is a poll that leaves out Stein and Johnson? These are real candidates and you cannot leave them off of a poll.

Not this one, how do you get 23% refuse to answer the poll ?

And last poll they had they showed Trump with only 33% of the vote.

And Reuters was the poll that changed their sauce right after the Republican convention...and they admit it.

Throw this poll in the trash.

If Roto-Reuters is admitting this much, Trump must be up 80-20.

Johnson did 1% in 2012, and the Greens .3%.
My view is that won’t change much in 2016.
Dem voters typically hit the D button and move on.
R voters view Johnson as a lefty.

You’re already seeing desperation. The internals are catastrophic. She’s incensed that she has to campaign at all, let alone to a crowd of 50 people. She’s tried the Democrat secret weapon (”racist!”) and it’s not working any more. Trump asked for the black vote and gave solid reasons why and it’s working. The Cankles festival o’ scandals won’t quit. NBC runs a story about a focus group that just isn’t buying it. She dresses in a my-my at a fundraiser and now wears jackets that reach a foot above the ground. She needs a stepladder to get into a suburban. She won’t go to Louisiana because there’s nomoney there. She needs pillows to remain erect.

You’re seeing desperation and it wil get into full pains mode is two weeks. Then come the debates where she’s gonna get OWNED. This is gonna be good...I bought a movie theater size box of popcorn kernels and five pounds of butter. November 8th can’t get here fast enough!!!!

The best comment I saw on YouTube is that she was talking “insider baseball” that people won’t understand and came across sounding like a paranoid, demented bag lady!
Excellent for Trump.

Although now I’m concerned the MSM will feel it’s their duty to educate all us hayseeds on the evil alt-right for the next 2+ months, and how Granny Clinton is such a better choice.

Which is probably why Trump’s and Clinton’s numbers barely change when the 3rd parties are put in. Those people were the ones claiming to not want to vote for either in the first round.

I seem to remember reading that the third party people often acquiesce to vote for one of the major parties at the last minute. In that case, it’s good to see a higher number for Johnson than for Stein. Trump’s potential pool of 3rd party defectors is bigger than Hellary’s.

Even though I’m going to vote for Trump, I’m as close to an undecided voter as you’re going to get among Trump voters since I don’t like Trump. So my feeling of loyalty to Trump gets stronger or weaker based on events just like it would for the real undecided voters. And after Hellary’s speech yesterday, I’m feeling much better about voting for Trump. I think I can use my own feelings about Trump as a good bellwether to determine whether things are shifting Trump’s way or not in general. Hellary going full PC can only drive middle-of-the-road voters away from her and her numbers down. That message only appeals to the hardcore leftists she already has in her court.
