(Vanity) "You can't always get what you want"???

I am sure this has probably been discussed here by now, but I did a search and didn't see anything. I don't come here often, so sorry if the post wasn't done correctly.

But what's up with Trump's using "You can't always get what you want" as the song played after each of his speeches? Is he telling us that we should go ahead on settle on him, vs. other candidates we may have wanted?

Does anyone have any explanation as to what this was chosen? It sure doesn't sound like much of a victory song! In fact, after he makes some very valid points during his speeches, this song is just a big downer, and almost negates all the good things he had just said.

I remember years and years ago John Mellonhead saying that the GHW Bush camp called him up and asked him if they could use "Pink Houses" for their campaign song. Mellonhead said to them "I don't mind if you use it but have you ever heard the words to it?" The campaign never called back and didn't use PH.

I wondered about this the day Jeff sessions endorsed Trump. During the wasp each Sessions quoted the songs central theme and directly addressed trump about it.

I think it’s a double entrandre. It describes Hillary and Reminds us about the laws of thermodynamics ...
