I am sure this has probably been discussed here by now, but I did a search and didn't see anything. I don't come here often, so sorry if the post wasn't done correctly.
But what's up with Trump's using "You can't always get what you want" as the song played after each of his speeches? Is he telling us that we should go ahead on settle on him, vs. other candidates we may have wanted?
Does anyone have any explanation as to what this was chosen? It sure doesn't sound like much of a victory song! In fact, after he makes some very valid points during his speeches, this song is just a big downer, and almost negates all the good things he had just said.
‘At her feet was her footloose man
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look ill.’
Next to the Billary Keith looks like the picture of health.
Joann, Listen to it.
I want the world, I need a job.
Get real.
It has some pretty clever hints about Trump’s political opponents. IMHO.

Lyrics
I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she would meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man
No, you can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometime you find
You get what you need
I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she was gonna meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you might find
You get what you need
But I went down to the demonstration
To get your fair share of abuse
Singing, “We’re gonna vent our frustration
If we don’t we’re gonna blow a fifty-amp fuse”
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
You get what you need
I went down to the Chelsea drugstore
To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look pretty ill
We decided that we would have a soda
My favorite flavor, cherry red
I sung my song to Mr. Jimmy
Yeah, and he said one word to me, and that was “dead”
I said to him
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You get what you need
You get what you need, yeah, oh baby
I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need 0h yeah

Read the lyrics post #24........interesting!......
It’s actually a fair hint about providence.
I think we may not be wrong to see the hand of God on Donald Trump as an answer to prayers that went up in earnest during the reign of Barack the Obama.
Or is that, Barack the Obamination.
‘She goes running for the shelter, of her mother’s little helper
And it gets her on her way, helps her make it through the day’
I was wondering about that too.
You are top 5 funniest on FR and what you say isn’t funny.
It’s just to much truth.
Funny? Funny how? Like a clown? I amuse you?
Fuggedabout it.
I hope we get more Stones’ lyrics. I love the irony.

I just watched Casino and it was a riot.
The Rolling Stones were the yin to the Beatles’ yang in a way.
The Beats write ‘Let It Be’, so Stones write ‘Let It Bleed’.
Counterculture bad boys attacking the establishment. Former young Republican, then radicalized LFL (lesbian for life) Ms Rodham saw herself at the time as the shape of things to come. Things kinda stalled. Marines reject her. What to do, what do.

Check out The Sopranos. Tony and his boys are blights upon society, but they will amuse you.
I tried to put that to rhythm. It was impossible.
I have not had any knowledge of “Tony and the boys” for 10 years and have no plans of renewing that time.

I wondered about this the day Jeff sessions endorsed Trump. During the wasp each Sessions quoted the songs central theme and directly addressed trump about it.
I think it’s a double entrandre. It describes Hillary and Reminds us about the laws of thermodynamics ...
