Seems to me that the bill-boards I see state how many 1,000's of people have died so far on Texan roads. Yet to see a bill-board warning about how many deaths coursed by guns.
Bottom line, I am more concerned about the nut behind the wheel of car than I am about a finger on a finger. Truthfully, I know no one who has been shot but plenty who have been either killed or maimed in automobile accidents.
I see what you did there as a counter to this one right?

I suppose we could do the same with a “Fill in the blank.” header.

Being an automotive restoration specialist for over forty years, I can say the thing I love about automobiles is the unbridled freedom they give to us to travel and observe our right to free association and trade under the constitution. It’s one of the ultimate freedoms to live our lives as we choose. Plus, it’s a lot of fun driving a nice personalized automobile that I own myself.
My cars have never killed anyone.
Yep, they only talk about guns because no one talks of cars, booze, drugs, cigarettes, etc. Heck junk food kills more people daily than guns.
than I am about a finger on a finger?..................
Plus, I’ve never had to call an insurance company to report an accident or damage to a vehicle since 1974, the year I received my licence. I’ve never been in a car accident caused by me in my life.
The bane of people like me are those who have NO business being behind a wheel:
1. drunks;
2. teenagers who, if they are female are thinking of their HAIR and if they are male, are thinking of sex; [Pardon me if I've got that wrong.]
3. foreigners, especially non-Europeans, who aren't used to this traffic and if they are female foreigners, are SCARED TO DEATH of the traffic; [I don't blame them.] Or, the foreigners who have lived in Rome and/or Mexico City and drive like maniacs because in THOSE places they had to;
4. those in a hurry, for no particular reason, who speed (Indy 500 Syndrome);
5. tailgaters;
6. chronic lane changers;
7. those who simply refuse to obey the traffic laws;
8. those on the phone gabbing or those gabbing with a passenger;
9. "speed police" who drive 45 m.p.h. in the fast lane because that is the speed limit;
10. double parkers;
11. oldsters who should only be driving during the day and to-from doctor/market;
12. people who are angry for some reason.
Have I missed anyone?
I feel the same way about the guns that I have restored. The cool thing is that our Constitution gives us the right to own a gun.
If we worked like our ancestor farmers did we could eat ANYTHING all day long.
And when you were 20 years old you COULD eat ANYTHING all day long.
We just have to change to narrative. Oh and don’t get me started on idiot Matt Damon
Should have left him on Mars................
“Yep, they only talk about guns because no one talks of cars, booze, drugs, cigarettes, etc. Heck junk food kills more people daily than guns.”
What do you mean “no one talks of” those things? Those are some of the most regulated things in the country AND the liberals are always talking about further controls.
Quit trying to use tyrannical examples to fight tyranny. Liberty is the only antidote to tyranny.
A car is just a machine to get me from point a to point b. If I did not need one I would not have one. The expense of owning one and the aggravation in traffic and the nuts who nearly get you killed in traffic just make a car for me a necessary nuosance.
“The cool thing is that our Constitution gives us the right to own a gun.”
The Constitution did not give us anything. God gave us inalienable rights that CAN NOT be taken from us. Period!
One of those rights is the right to protect ourselves, another is to freely travel and freely assemble with like minded folks. Try that without an automobile...
More were CONCEIVED in one!
Don’t get me started about swimming pools...
Medical malpractice kills more people than are murdered by guns each year.
Time to get rid of all the doctors!
A horrific way to die is by being knifed. Nobody is talking about knives. I just recall a dinner B. Obama had with Hispanics where the knives were removed.
