Why did the 30 Benghazi emails FBI discovered escape destruction?
American Thinker ^ | August 31, 2016 | Thomas Lifson

Everyone is wondering what’s in the 30 previously unknown emails related to Benghazi the FBI managed to discover on Hillary’s server and turned over to the State Department for potential redaction. But the manner by which they escaped destruction may tell us a lot, no matter how much redaction takes place.

The very fact that the emails were recoverable has got Hillary and her team of lawyers in a lot of trouble. Ed Morrissey of Hot Air explains:

All along, Hillary and her team insisted that they had nothing responsive to investigators and those filing FOIA demands, and that the entire Benghazi probe consisted of rehashed questions already answered.

The new admission from State raises even more questions about the e-mail scandal. The claim from Hillary and her team that the lawyers checked all of her e-mail individually to determine whether they related to official business has long since been debunked. However, one would have expected Hillary and her team to specifically look for materials responsive to Congressional investigations in progress, especially on Benghazi and Libya, even if they were segregating other material by keyword search. Given that the State Department repeatedly argued in court that no such records existed until Hillary’s private e-mail system became public knowledge, the judicial branch may hold State and Hillary to those expectations.

This is an interesting article. Hillary Clinton lied to the FBI and Congress about turning over deleted emails.

She used bleach bit to permanently destroy emails that were under subpoena. But how did the FBI find the 30 Benghazi emails?

Did she and her lawyers screw up and forget to delete them?

Were they low priority(less damaging) and not identified and deleted in time?

Does the FBI have more emails than just the 30 and is there more to the story that is being withheld from the public?

Hillary Clinton clearly committed perjury and other crimes when she said she only deleted personal emails and then deleted emails under subpoena. We may never know what is really going on.

Patriotic career civil servants leaving breadcrumbs in the hopes justice will prevail, imo.

Don’t be surprised when Trump wins that other documents start magically appearing.

This is too easy.

The FBI could have simply noted who received the most Hillary emails and demanded that those individuals turn over their files (outside the state department).

There were two speculations in the article, that Bleach Bit didn’t work and that the FBI gained access to the recipient’s accounts and those were not scrubbed.

Smart employees make a copy and take it with them if there is the slightest hint they could get into trouble. If there had been an indictment those hard copies would have appeared, probably killing a whole forest for the paper.

“Don’t be surprised when Trump wins that other documents start magically appearing.”

I just hope that those responsible at every level in the State Department who participated in this coverup are brought to trial, and if found guilty, sent to Federal Prison for a very long time.

I'm betting there are still more computers....

It's not Hillary's job to keep tabs on all the computers....but from what I gather, she doesn't like people around... she used what was available.

I’m guessing the poor slob who was given the job of wiping the server searched on “Benghazi” ... and the 30 emails that have now been found had the wrong spelling.

Hillary didn’t use a big enough cloth when she wiped her server?

I suspect that hillary did destroy those emails.

And I suspect that the FBI obtained them from someone who hacked her emails and copied all of them BEFORE she destroyed them.

Which would mean that whoever it was was living in her computer for who knows how long.

And that means even more will show up Even those that are said to be gone forever. On her machine, maybe so, but they are on someone else’s machine.

I am astonished that the Democratic party tied their hopes to a woman who is so unliked, criminal and uncharismatic. I understand it. She is their Bob Dole. She has been around forever. She knows how to work the system. She had enough points in the game to force various players to swing her way on the nomination, but still, like Dole, she is a terrible choice. (Actually, she is orders of magnitude worse than Dole. She makes Dole look like Robin Williams.)

The amazing thing from her perspective is, that she is obviously physically and perhaps mentally incapable of campaigning and of performing in the job if she gets it. No matter how much I wanted something, I would bow to my infirmities and hand off the baton to a younger person. She could have played king maker, which is not a bad position. Instead she wants the job for herself. I hope she lives at least until the election so that somebody better doesn’t get substituted towards the end.

ALL of Hillary’s emails were government property, and all were under subpoena. No loophole for weddings and yoga. Hillary should have been handcuffed the moment she declared she had deleted ANY emails. She confessed to felonies at a press conference.

I want to see Obama and dozens of others in manacles before Trump begins his Inaugural Address.

They may have got them from the recipients email account or if the recipient was using a government server as they should be it was an archive copy.

E-mail is a 2 way street. If hillary sent it, someone had to get it. The other end is where the emails can be recovered.
