Media doesnt quite know what to do with the prayer shawl and standing ovation the GOP nominee received following his speech to an historically black church in Detroit. Donald Trump spoke at the Great Faith Ministries Church in Detroit on Saturday.
The church was super happy to have him here
Everybody did really enjoy his speech.
Donald Trump ended with a bible verse:
Id like to conclude with a passage from First John, Chapter 4: You know it! You see most groups I speak to dont know that. But we know. If you want we can say it together. No one has ever seen God but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
Some people did notice something weird, many networks cut their live feed when Trump was receiving the final blessing from the black Bishop.
Washington Examiner reports some highlights:
Donald Trump got a standing ovation at the prediminantly black Great Faith International Ministries in Detroit, Mich., Saturday with an address that included him claiming he understood the concerns of minority communities.

The left has deliberately and intentionally painted Trump as a racist, and so they must suppress all news that he cares about Blacks.
Right now, it’s looking good for Trump and bad for the washed-up tired old clueless lackluster arrogant condescending carpet-munching muzlim-favoring America-betraying ugly-a$$ hag. (Hillary, in case you couldn’t figure it out).
They tried to preempt his speech by ‘leaking’ a memo his staff wrote giving advice on what he should say. Democrat hacks tried to belittle this speech by saying he needed notes, and that the appearance was a publicity stunt. Very weird on their part, after all it is a campaign. Making appearances is what all politicians do. It’s not a stunt. He is making his case to attract voters and in this case voters who don’t traditionally vote Republican. They should be scared because while Trump is the GOP nominee is not at all a typical Republican. There never was a good reason for GOP candidates to ignore the Black community.
However if you think about it there is something else unique here in that there are no major leaders in the black community like there were in the days of Sharpton and Jackson. Both of those men have sidelined themselves. Maybe they are old, or maybe they could not really keep a high profile against a sitting Black president. For whatever reason the only significant leaders represent very small and radical constituencies such as the BLM. My point is this gives Trump an opening that won’t be countered. In some ways it is the perfect time, politically, for the GOP to make the case.
It was never theirs to begin with. They took what was not theirs.
Just for you. My favorite version of Amazing Grace by Merle Haggard. I plan on using it when I’m called home.

So beautifully written.
When Dems talk in churches or to minorities, it’s always to Stur up emotion and blame. They don’t bring hope with solutions. They bring feelings of retaliation. They manipulate the pain in others. Trump never mentioned Clinton, Obama, nor the Democratic Party. He was a gem with his words. It was quite refreshing.
i messed it up, the whole quote reads:
‘The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.’
by Augustine of Hippo:
Thank you Larry.
Here rest of video after Reuters shut it off from a cell phone.

This Speech should be spread far and Wide!
Funny, but if Naploeon had been allowed only 8 years hard to say what France would have become?
When asked if he could ever go home again he replied “Corsican”....
Thank you. Absolutely agree. It’s like Trump always says at the rally, “there’s love in the room” and you can sense it.
Doesn’t count because I counted at least five white people in that picture other than Trump. < / sarcasm >
