Huh? What was that? Well, it is a new attempt by the ultra politically correct to purge the Spanish language of any hint of gender based words which would include almost all its nouns and adjectives. Because the new words sound so much like a variation of "Kleenex" I call this new PC language the Kleenex language aka idiomx Kleenex. If you think this is some wild exaggeration then check out the MTV Unbound video below at the 2:10 mark of Kat Lazo asserting with Stalinist insistence that you MUST use "latinx" in place of "latina" or "latino."

People already have enough trouble understanding me on those rare occasions that I try to speak Spanish (most recently in Spain). I’ll pass.

Me too. I’m surprised that it has taken them so long to get to Spanish—since it is a language of the ‘oppressed’ and therefore should be untouchable.
When I was a student teacher, a black muslim was invited by my master teacher to speak to my class (which was 100% black and hispanic). He said that the kids should use Arabic and Spanish, instead of the ‘slave language’ English. When I threw some Arabic back at him, the kids all started laughing and said, “the white devil speaks your language”. The fact that Arabic was the first language of the slave traders was not part of his talk.
Since this is now just about a communist country, in some areas I use “Komrade”. And if I get any SJW crap, I cuss at them in Russian.
Spanish is a gendered language, and I’ve read jokes about how computer is female but these parts are male, how household items are female due to the feminine household sphere ...
You start saying language is sexist on the -a and -o endings, English starts to look like a neutral language.
Note, there is no correlation between gendered and non-gendered languages, someone already did a study on it. And the non-gendered languages in the Muslim world obviously make no difference on real female oppression.
Good luck with that as Spanish, French, etc have gender based nouns.
