Moderator for the debate is Lester Holt, the anchor of the NBC Nightly News

The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.

Trump needs to have - and we have heard it - a better answer on bring jobs back and job creation.

I thought there was some low hanging fruit there. I was hoping he would put her away.

Hillary did okay because she didn't fall over or get to screechy.

Trump did okay in he didn't make any major mistakes and defended who he is and established himself a viable alternative to HRC

Lester came at him but he should have exposed him during that Iraq exchange.

Trump will learn but he needs to be better prepared he has those answers - I was expecting more but I think he did what he needed to do and will build on this.

Hillary seems quite ill if that is the case she is going to now have to vigorously campaign and the difference in the next debate should be obvious.

Lester has permitted her almost total control of the debate. Several times it seems like she has filibustered over 2 minutes.

Trump is a “Punch back” individual by nature and personality....there were numerous times he ‘DID NOT’ do so tonight....his body language made that all too obvious even for those who can't read it.....we should not expect him to take the hits all the time and he didn't...we do not want his fighting spirit tempered too much....we know he's going to need that...

I think he did more than fine.......this is just the first round...and noteworthy..... his first time ‘ever’ debating ‘one on one’ so he will surely take what he's learned form this, as he's done all along.

From the get go we have been observing... 'God's Making of a President'.... right before our eyes.... and that is an unmistakable, amazing, and remarkable feat this man has managed to fulfill.....God's not finished yet.....but when he arrives in Washington he will be exactly what this nation needs.

As a reminder.....this is.. 'Iron Sharpening Iron".. going on here.....leaning into one another they are firmly engaged and want to hear what the other is saying.....this is what a President is and must do.
