DEMOCRAT HILLARY CLINTON and Republican Donald Trump will debate on national television for the first time Monday night, and the stakes could not be higher. The presidency and, by extension, the country's future - maybe the world's - could hinge on what they say and how they say it.
Or so we have been told - in breathless pre-event speculation about everything from whether the moderator, NBC's Lester Holt, will intervene to correct a candidate who strays from the truth, to whether one candidate or the other will be able to goad his or her opponent into a campaign-altering gaffe before an audience expected to reach 100 million.
Permit us to dissent from this conventional wisdom, vigorously. Yes, Monday night's clash, and two additional debates to follow, will add drama to the election, and a bit more data to the massive pile of it already available to voters. In a fundamental sense, however, there is nothing much at stake, or shouldn't be, because there is not much more to learn: Mr. Trump has amply demonstrated his unworthiness to occupy the Oval Office. It's beyond his capacity in the upcoming 90-minute question-and-answer sessions to reverse or even substantially modify that conclusion.

At the same token that corrupt, lying individual Hillary who can’t even tell the classification of an email and can hardly negotiate a flight of stairs without collapsing would be perfectly suitable for this job? Should she win because of all the cheating which most likely will be going on we might as well close the book on the US as it will not even resemble a shadow of its former self. What I would love to know is why a good portion of the news media is so enamored with anything what smells like socialism and Hillary certainly reeks of it. By now one would think that by experience they should know that it never has worked in the past and in the long run it never will work in the future, yet they still keep pushing this crap come hell and high water. Probably the only time the news media would be happy and pet themselves on their shoulders would be if the US would resemble something like Venezuela and George Soros would join in with a toast for a job well done.

Trump hasn’t countenanced violence.
Many support waterboarding and the like. Many think we need to be tougher against our enemies.
Our illegal immigrants are a major problem in our society and allowing more of them to come in is simply not a good idea. Many believe that.
Hillary will be up 15% during the debate in real time.

It’s beyond debate that, whatever you think of Trump, Hillary is far less fit to hold office as president than Trump is. Given the situation, even those who don’t like Trump or don’t think he’s fit for the office need to follow the Ted Cruz example and vote Trump. The alternative is far worse!
