'White Privilege' survey in high school class sparks parents’ ire

Published October 03, 2016 FoxNews.com

A high school in Oregon is coming under fire from some angry parents after students in one class were assigned a “White Privilege Survey,” leading to accusations the school was trying to push a particular brand of politics.

The assignment was for a Literature Composition class at Aloha High School, KATU reported Thursday. Students responded to statements including, “I can be in the company of people of my race most of the time,” “I can be pretty sure that my neighbors in such a location will be neutral or pleasant to me” and “I am never asked to speak for all the people in my racial group,” scoring them on how often they felt the ideas were true.

“I think he should be learning actual education and not be a part of some social experiment or some teacher’s political agenda,” commented Jason Schmidt, whose son is in the class.

More deplorable is coming if Illiarily becomes president.

Anyone with a child still in a public school needs to get them in a good private school, home school them, or go on line for their education.

Public schools are nothing more than Liberal propaganda factories. As long as the mush-for-brains students grow up to be PC-loving Democrats, the schools have been successful. Teaching reading, writing, math, and the other subjects is secondary or irrelevant.

Public schools are for social experimentation. Nothing more.

“I can be in the company of people of my race most of the time,”

Anyone can. It's a choice. Just like it' our choice to remove our kids from progressive brainwashing centers known as pubic schools.

One way to handle such surveys is to provide nonsensically fake answers.

Prompt: “I can be in the company of people of my race most of the time”

Response: No. I lose most races. Most people are usually running far out ahead of me.

I bet one of the questions wasn’t, what is your IQ?

Or “Do you do all your home work?”

Right you are! and our country is suffering dearly because of it. It may be too late to stop the liberal’s “1984 utopia” from occurring, Venezuela here we come.

Mom and dad grew up dirt poor during the great depression. Daddy was orphaned at 12 and fostered out until WWII where he served and at one point was sunk by a U-boat. Mom was a telephone operator, married a soldier and had a baby boy, her husband died during the invasion of France fighting Nazi’s.

Mom and dad met up after the war and married and had 3 more kids.

Daddy worked 3 jobs, kept a roof over our lower middle class heads and food in our mouths. Mama worked a local job at a school kitchen and was home when we came home from school. We did our homework and chores. Momma’ s first son, my step brother was killed in Vietnam.

Us other 3 kids all paid our own college tuition as we didn’t want to burden the folks in their later years. My oldest sister became a nurse, the other a CPA, and I went in the service.

My family worked hard, we didn’t have much, but we were a family and we all grew up responsible and honest.

White privilege, my a$$.

“I can be in the company of people of my race most of the time,”

No, I work in Los Angeles and the vast majority of my fellow teachers are Hispanic. There are only three white teachers at my school, counting me. My neighborhood is a mix of Cuban, black, Armenian, white, Asian... and about half of them are gay, so... I'm not really with "my own kind" unless I look them up and we go out to eat.

And most Hispanic kids in L.A. are definitely in the company of their own race most of the time. All of the time. The public schools are almost entirely Hispanic.

The environment has gotten so poisoned that, other than coworkers, I’ve basically retreated to associating with people like me. That wasn’t true a decade ago, when I had friends who weren’t like me. Black, Hispanic, liberal, lesbian, I could get past differences so long as we enjoyed one another’s company and got along well. Not so anymore. The left has destroyed that. For all their jawboning, they’re driving everyone apart and making things far worse.

Or

How many parents do you have?

or

Do you know who your father is?

or

Does you mother care or know if you attend school?
