Matt Drudge Suggests Government May Be Lying About Hurricane Matthew
NPR ^

Posted on 10/07/2016 9:45:21 AM PDT by bryan999

Matt Drudge, author of the conservative media site DrudgeReport.com, is being ridiculed over his tweets in advance of Hurricane Matthew's arrival in Florida.

Thursday afternoon and early Friday morning, the conservative firebrand took to Twitter to imply that the storm might not be as powerful as government officials say it is.

First he tweeted: "The deplorables are starting to wonder if govt has been lying to them about Hurricane Matthew intensity to make exaggerated point on climate."

Liberals are having a field day ridiculing Drudge today. It's just about the highest trending topic on Facebook.

We don't have to take this crap!!!

I have to say, I’ve been watching the data buoys in and around the hurricane, and I don’t see the wind speed numbers they’re reporting. The rotation of the storm on radar seems “loose” and less organized.

On a related note I sat down and turned on the Weather Channel fora while this morning. Their coverage sucks.

One of the female reporters in particular was grating. She wanted to tell stories. I however just need facts.

Hotels on the Gulf coast are full of east coast refugees, so business is booming for them.

The economy is growing and unemployment is below five percent. If you believe that, you believe your government.

On this site some attacked me like wild hyenas for daring to type the words that the government agencies and news media exaggerated the threat and potential damage of Mathew.

The idiots, the trendies and the losers and the media do not get it. They only live for today and hope the majority of people have the memory of a gold fish.

The media, the NOAA are screaming the sky is falling and were all going to die because of this hurricane that is still out in the ocean. LOL!

The media hate Drudge and he has been proven right every time over time. Remember this is the same group of people that said Obamacare was free. This is the same group of people that said Obamacare would not increase your health care cost, you could keep your doctor, no death panels, etc....

All they do is lie, trick and deceive. Matt Drudge is 1000 times more credible than the media.

WUWT has an article on Matthew gaining a second eye which will eventually kill off the inner eye making the wind speeds lower.

They will certainly issue a report saying that very thing.

Pretty stupid...every year...hurricanes...that's mother nature for whatever reason....probably cleans up the bacteria on the seashore.

Hey folks its a good distraction from Hillary and all her issues.

By the way after the next debate Hillary will not campaign for at least 2 weeks.

The hurricane is a great distraction.

No data stations reported?

Looks cat 3+ there.

Lots of us who were watching the storm early on saw these sorts of readings from stations in the Bahamas. Were they all lying too?

I have to say, I’ve been watching the data buoys in and around the hurricane, and I don’t see the wind speed numbers they’re reporting.

...

I’ve been doing the same with private weather stations. Bimini had top sustained winds of 33 mph. Along the coast of Florida I can’t find anything over 50 mph sustained.

The politicians and proponents of climate change are guilty of intentionally distorting the reporting but the actual forecasts seem fairly good what with 120 mph winds just off coast Florida.

NPR and the Global Warming Channel (aka The Weather Channel) can’t contain their disappointment when the storms aren’t as horrible as they predict. Drudge didn’t say they were lying; he said they were exaggerating the dangers.
