The 11th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot is underway! Once again we are celebrating the memory of an amazing man, and carrying on a tradition he started.
As always, it is great to visit with old friends and meet new ones.
Eventually pictures will be posted to this thread.
I had it as a house guest, but couldn’t get to my camera fast enough. However, I don’t think it’s albino...it’s just white. No red eyes. :)
I had the door open to listen to the rain, and it came peeking around the open door. I had to smile.
I hope you can make it next time! Glad that project is nearly finished!
It was SO much fun....and it was very hard to have to leave everyone and come back home...to laundry. LOL!
There’s a peafowl farm just this side of Waco where they sell all kinds of them. The white ones are a breed unto themselves and very pricey. The name of the place is Bows Peacock Farm, u can google it. There are several rare kinds there. I wanted some since they seem to be a “thing” with the lodges around here but my Mr. said “NO!” Seems I already have too many things that need a caretaker when I go off to visit grandkids.
Ugh, I’m on laundry today too. It was COLD here again this morning. 55 degrees. That’s just not enough degrees for us natives.

“Dat be one ugly man who be serving brisket” in a pink shirt and suspenders! I think he is actually uglier than humble-gunner and that is not easy!
Same time next year, brisket or whatever Jim Rob wants. I had a great time with the gang. I did not shoot much but that was by choice. My good buddy Shane who came up for the shoot and is my neighbor has a 100 yard range and I have a 200 yard range on my land. If we do not do a 1 inch group at 100 yards we are very unhappy that day. Most days we are happy. The problems with our weapons is there are better shots in the weapon than us. At the shoot Shane did get a five shot group with his 30:06 with all bullets touching. It was his own handloads. We live away from the cities. We shoot a lot together. When I get together with the gang it is for comradery, food and fun. Shane said he is in for next year.
It was a good shoot. If we use Hicksville next year I will bring a few tables.
