Think about it from the oligarchs in power in Mexico. They have a large population of unemployed or underemployed men that can’t feed their families. That makes it unsafe for everyone in their country. I know, because my grandfather fought in the Mexican Revolution and the Cristero War.(he was a Catholic)
He said that when a man can’t buy frijoles and tortillas then he picks up a gun. He found out that the men who replaced the dictators were......dictators....and anti-Catholic to boot. That was when he got political asylum in the US and became a US citizen. Anyway, we are Mexico’s safety valve.
IF WE DEPORT ALL THE MEXICAN ILLEGALS and those in gangs instead of putting the criminals in prison.... you will have what has happened to El Salvador and Guatemala, a free fire zone of murder and mayhem. Mexico is slowly heading that way and will probably fall like Venezuela, but if the border is shut down and the criminals simply released into Mexico it will be a bloodbath within months.
So my answer is , yeah I think Mexico will try to influence the election.
