Poll: Paul Ryan's Approval Collapses, More GOP Voters Say Trump

Justin wrote about the hostile reception to Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan from Trump supporters at a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Chants of “Paul Ryan sucks” were shouted, but is this an isolated incident? That is, is this just a representation of Trump supporters from the local area? No—not really. The latest polling shows that support for Ryan has collapsed, sinking 28 points…in a week. The YouGov poll had some interesting points concerning Ryan, Trump, and the brewing tensions that seem bound to erupt in civil war once this election is over.

Allahpundit noted that Ryan is experiencing the Ted Cruz treatment from his own side by refusing to campaign with Trump, though he hasn’t yanked his endorsement, which rightfully leaves some people wondering why this late in the game would anyone just stop supporting Trump. For starters, the Access Hollywood tape isn’t a deal breaker with many Republican voters, but it is one with almost a quarter of independents, who Trump needs to win over in order to win this election. Another interesting find in the crosstabs about Ryan is that most Republicans, despite their increasing dislike of him, view him as the leader of the GOP, not Trump:

You might try quitting the Chrome application and then launching it again. Sometimes apps get corrupted as they run and strange things start happening.

Ryan is a pipsqueak. Needs to go. Like I’ve said before the only decision he ever made was to grow a beard during hunting season and he didn’t even do that well.

McConnell is not a conservative, but at least he has stood firm on the nomination issue. He’s also given a brief endorsement of Trump, then shut up and remained out of the way of the Presidential campaign.

Ryan has continually injected himself into the presidential race to undermine Trump.

And Ryan is the one with a 59 seat majority while McConnell’s is just a handful. The House is in no danger. What a Hilary Criminal Brownshirt goon squad enanbler POS Ryan is.

Because voting for Zimmerman would only get the dem elected. Same logic as the never Trumpers. Not voting or write in will only help Clinton. I believe with President Trump, Ryan will be neutered. Do we really want to take the chance of losing control of the house and/or senate?’

Voting for back stabbing traitor Ryan gets the Dem elected: Hillary Clinton.

I disagree. Losing a single seat in the House to issue such a rebuke for RINO behaviour would be worth it. Especially if Trump were to win that district at the same time. Don’t vote for the Dim, vote third party instead of Ryan.

Enabling the democrats to take Ryan's seat seems like a bad idea to me.

What's the difference? Ryan votes for everything that Obama wants. He would do the same for Hillary. Plus, in 2 years, a more principled player could be put in. Sorry, Ryan has got to go.

>>With all the evidence of election rigging going on, I don’t believe he won.
McCain’s victory should be investigated as well.
The votes can be easily flipped with those Soros machines.
There’s just no way that Mccain and Ryan won by large margins the way they did.

I agree. These elections have been rigged for decades. I do not believe Ryan or McCain or Graham or any other Globalist puke won. I think they simply employ the same means as their “friends across the aisle”.

This is why Mr. Trump is the LAST chance to drain the swamp. And I can think of no better, no stronger man on the face of this earth that is more committed to work harder and deliver on his promises.

DRAIN THE SWAMP.

If its so important to Paul “Marathon Man” Ryan wants to be considered leader of the ‘Publican Party let him have it..

Mr Trump is going to be leader of the country.
That is all that counts friends.

The way I see it is that we can afford to lose one House member (Ryan), but have much less ability to handle the loss of a Senate seat.

Ryan

Let's not dignify his existence by spelling his name right.

Everybody knows it's: Paul RINO.

Basic sanitation. The GOPe is raw sewage. Raw sewage should not be ingested.

Paul Ryan is a perfect turd.

Agreed. I gave money to his opponent and would even vote for a Democrat to see Ryan defeated in November.
