I read this and failed to just get into the gist of what the author is say with respect to whatever he knew about Sun Systems whatever.

I’m all for strengthening the Electoral college. It think ALL of the states should have “faithless elector” laws and punishment (jail) for those who violate the will of a true and legal vote in a particular states.

I am IN NO WAY willing to give up any part of the Electoral College in deciding the election, however. Definitely NOT decision by national popular vote. No way, no how!

The founders’ establishment of the college assures that each state in this vast and diverse union has its own regional interests and goals at least counting for something on selection of a president.

If this country goes to a popular vote then it becomes nothing more than mob rule mentality and a very small part of this vast and diverse UNION of STATES will have a say in how things are done - try LA, SF, and NYC running everything. No WAY in cowboy hell.

This election fraud business has to be tops with trade deals and immigration IMO.

Purge dead people off the roles etc. Penalties for voter fraud must be severe.

Start with mandatory photo ID requirement. Match that with the federal voter database to ensure integrity of elections. The problem is that the whole of the RAT party is dependent upon criminal voting practices to stay in office. That’s why America is in the mess she’s in.

Photo ID’s should become federal law.

I've been giving some thought to a voting system that is a mix of old-school paper ballots and modern cryptography.

It would provide physical ballot security, but also a way for voters to confirm their vote was recorded, and recorded correctly -- but without revealing their actual votes.

However, we really can't do anything about vote fraud -- because the places where it is worst are happy with the flaws, and would never voluntarily adopt more secure methods.

I think we need federal legislation that says: for federal elections (House, Senate, President), this is what you shall do. You can do whatever you want for your own elections.

It might require a Constitutional amendment. But, it needs to be done.

Absolutely agree. As of January 2017, ballot intergrity measures must be pursued everywhere possible, vigorously.

If we lose faith in the electoral process, we can no longer have faith in democracy. Anyone who is concerned about perpetuating the democratic process should be unequivocally committed to ensuring that the votes tallied accurately reflects the will of the qualified electorate.

Pursuant to that end, we need to enforce the following:

One person, one vote. Multiple voting should be a felony and grounds for disenfranchisement.

Only legal citizens are allowed to vote. We can’t decide the political landscape in other countries; by what delusion should we permit their citizens to decide ours?

Votes are immutable. A process needs to be created to guarantee that the vote you cast is the vote that gets tallied.

Violation of these principles threatens the validity of any electoral outcome, and could inspire a constitutional crisis. They must be dealt with quickly and harshly.

Just as this was our only opportunity to elect someone like Trump, this is Trumps (and our) only opportunity to fix our broken election system.

I’m equally optimistic that the system will be fixed, at least to the point that most of us will no longer be always having to factor in the fraud factor.

It’s not the secret ballot that is a threat.

It is the failure (treasonous IMO) of politicians and election officials to ensure that only a publicly identified and properly registered citizen gets a secret ballot.

Outlaw early voting and mail in voting. All voters must show ID’s. If necessary make voting in person a two day event.

I am of the opinion that we need a constitutional amendment that:

- Establishes Federal authority over elections for federal offices.
- Requires states to maintain separate voting rolls for federal elections (no comingling with state voter rolls)
- Requires states to purge the federal voting roll of all voters the first day of the first month following the Presidential Inauguration
- Requires that voters who wish to participate in the next election register no later than 30 days prior to the election
- Requires states to remove from the federal roll any person for which a death certificate has been issued within 30 days
- Requires proof of citizenship and proof of residence to register for the federal voting roll
- Requires states to notify each other when a person changes address (changes drivers license, tax return address. etc)
- Requires a government issued ID to vote

Voting day ID fraud is one thing, but the big problem is registration fraud, which is easily fixed.

There should be a national voter registration database, that state and local boards of elections must use to verify citizenship, and assure that voters are not registered in two or more places at the same time. There also has to be rigorously enforced purges of the dead, convicted felons, etc. There must be a system to get non compos mentis people off the rolls. Something must be done to stop crooks from sealing the votes of elderly and ill people, under the guise of “helping” them.

Most of the early and absentee voting should be stopped.

Congress should pass a law ASAP for signature by President Trump which forces the states to purge their voter rolls of ineligibles on a regular basis. It would NOT violate the right/power of states to conduct their own elections, as its purpose would be to ensure both faith in the operation of each national election, and to ensure that the vote of each legitimate voter was not diluted by ineligibles. These things are CLEARLY in the national interest. The law would ONLY apply to those elections in which any candidate for federal office, whether for a primary or general election, was on the ballot.

The specifics would include:

1) A link with the Social Security Death Index and other databases that record deaths, so that anyone who had died would be removed. States would also be required to purge the voter lists of any person born more than 120 years prior to the election, whether there is a death record or not.

2) A link with the INS (or whatever it is called now) to be sure that no non-citizen immigrants are registered to vote.

3) A link between states, to prevent people from voting in one state when they register in a new state of residence.

4) Photo ID required to vote - PERIOD. Photo ID and proof of both age and citizenship required to register to vote - PERIOD.

5) Paper ballots, which are to be kept until at least 3 months after each election in the event of a challenge. No more of this electronic BS, which is subject to hacking or other manipulation.

6) Indelible ink for marking each voter’s right thumb (or left thumb if they don’t have a right thumb, or some other visible portion of their body if they also don’t have a left thumb), so that no person can vote twice.

7) Repeal of “motor-voter” registration. DMVs should stick to automotive matters, and leave voter registration to election boards.

8) SEVERE penalties for engaging in voter fraud. For example, any non-citizen who actually submits a voter registration application, or who votes, is to be immediately and permanently removed from this country, plus pays a fine of $1,000.00 for each ballot EVER cast. Citizens who commit fraud will have a felony record, and be removed from voter rolls permanently. If convicted of engaging in a conspiracy to falsify more than 1 ballot, 1 year in prison for each such ballot, plus a fine of $5,000.00 per ballot.

9) NO provisional ballots - either you are eligible, or you are not. For the few oddball cases, the individuals in question will need to go before an elections judge or the Elections Board in each county or state, and PROVE that they have the right to vote in that particular jurisdiction in the upcoming election - and this must be completed at least 1 week before the election. Also, no more “Same Day Registration” - if you didn’t give a damn enough about registering early enough to have your identity and right to vote verified, then you don’t vote in that election (or go to court for a special exception) - this is too easily subject to fraud.

10) ALL absentee ballots are to be counted, in each such election. Special provisions are to be made to ensure that absentee ballots cast by active duty military are delivered to the appropriate place by the end of voting on Election Day.

I’m somewhat in favor of eliminating early voting, but I don’t think that it would pass Constitutional muster.

NO MORE of this BS. It won’t prevent all cheating, but it will substantially limit it - to the point where it won’t really matter, and won’t really be worth it.

Note that Trump will need to have Scalia’s seat filled QUICKLY by an Originalist - because such legislation WILL be challenged by the ACLU and a host of other Leftist organizations about 5 minutes after being signed into law.
