John Kerry lands in Antarctica, highest US official to visit

Published November 10, 2016 Associated Press

MCMURDO STATION, Antarctica – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry became the highest-ranking American official to land in Antarctica for a two-day visit during which he'll hear from scientists about the impact of climate change on the frozen continent.

Kerry is an experienced pilot.

Huh? First time I ever read that.

Stay down there, Kerry. It's summer time so enjoy the beaches.

“Kerry is an experienced pilot”? Did he give himself a bunch of medals for that, too?

He had a bigger audience than clinton and kaine combined made up of prominent elitists, dignitaries and government officials from the area, penguins seals some polar bears and a few eskimos. Anyone think he’s scouting for new digs when the indictments come down?

"Lots of stuff for a Secretary of State to do in Antarctica is there?"

The problem is that the Fox news article posted is not very informative and left out the fact that Kerry had a very big role in the international agreement to create the Ross Sea marine reserve announced a couple of weeks ago, which is now the largest in the world. Kerry went to Ross Island in Antarctica.

The Patagonian Tooth fish, aka Chilean Sea Bass, became very popular and was fished out. So the world started fishing the Ross Sea for the toothfish there and it was on the way to being fished out.

Don't forget about the Marine National Monuments that GW Bush created and Obama enlarged.

Trump is building a Domed City in Antarctica where everybody who has promised to leave the US can be accommodated. Kerry has been sent to check the supply of coloring books, Play-doh, and pacifiers.

let me guess. It reminded him of Vietnam.....

Let me guess; he tripped and skint his knee and applied for a Purple Heart?

Best that could happen would be a global warming blizzard that kept him snowed in for a few months.

You know, he served in Vietnam.

Kerry is an experienced pilot.
**************************************
He got a shrapnel scratch from shooting a gun and hitting the side of his boat when in VN.

When and where did he become an ‘experienced pilot’?

....Not aimed at you, Cementjungle, just the article.

Hey Kerry, do us all a favor and stay there.

In January he’ll be as relevant as if he really did stay there.

It won’t matter what he does or where he goes.
