While President-elect Donald Trump met with outgoing President Barack Obama, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner was getting his introduction to White House life from chief of staff Denis McDonough.

This could be a sign that Trump is eyeing Kushner to be his chief of staff.

Kushner is marred to Trump's oldest daughter Ivanka, who also played a pivotal role in the billionaire's campaign.

Kushner and Ivanka Trump also are preparing for their first TV interview since Donald Trump's stunning election victory put them even more into the spotlight.

I’m sure he would. But I think he plans on General Flynn, unfortunately.

Because they like him and supported him for potus they want to see him in a key WH role as a concession. They overlook a long list of misspeaks and intentional jabs. Besides, he’s too old and his voice is whiny.

If that’s supposed to hurt my feelings, you missed by a mile.

I’ve seen Newt in action, and his mindless press releases from time to time have hurt our cause significantly.

He just doesn’t know when to keep his yap shut.

All it takes is one guy making one idiotic statement to let the air out of the balloon. He’s done it over and over and over again.

No thanks!

Thanks BGS. I agree with your take on it. Obviously.

There are jobs that require someone to be a subordinate, and Newt Gingrich is incapable of being a subordinate.

He thinks his thoughts are too important to keep to himself, and that gets real dicey when you don’t think about the overall picture. Newt thinks he is the overall picture.

The man is capable of rattling off exceptional defenses of the U. S. Constitution, and then go out and give a press briefing that infringes on the U. S. Constitution.

I’ve seen him do just that. (some time in between, but he knows the concepts and then violates them) He’s not the solid rock we need in the White House, in any capacity.

Newt said on Hannity the other day he wanted a strategy role being the architect of DJT vision and policies

Yes, and I completely agree. This is Newt’s powerhouse and he understands the role. Not getting bogged down in minutia, as he put it (IIRC)

Newt has his brilliant moments and is very convincing. I see him utilized as a hired gun defending or promoting specific policies in a limited capacity.

Between 1991 and 2006, Kushner was a contributor to the Democratic Party: he contributed over $100,000 to various campaigns in this time period.

Agreed. Short efforts where he keeps narrowly focused, I agree.

Dems/media are heavily pushing the meme that Trump’s son in law is like Rasputin or something, that Trump basically does whatever he advises.

Pretty Laughable, very weird, and maybe kinda antisemitic.

At this point can we believe a SINGLE damn thing they say? If the Huff Post reported that the sky was blue.....I’d go get my eyes checked.

Not even the slightest veneer of objectivity any longer.

They’ve been pushing the big lie about Bannon as an anti-Semite. Given that the Democrat party is a bastion of anti-Semites, funded by a Nazi youth (Soros), with an anti-Zionist President and Jew-hating nominee for President, and scores of self-hating fake Jews, the media acting righteously indignant is hi-larious.
