If anything, his ads underplayed that, stressing prosperity and “greatness.” But maybe America was so used to “unfreedom” that other things were the only things that could appeal to it.
But when we see miracles work — it will be not because Trump is an ultra-Einstein, but it will be because of a new dance, a dance to a tune called freedom.
It was probably a good thing he underplayed the “freedom” angle. Freedom is scary to a lot of people. Adults want freedom. Children prefer security. And most liberals are children who would trade away freedom for the security of a nanny state. They are too frightened to take responsibility for themselves and are always looking to the adults to take care of them, protect them, and give them free stuff.
