The epic nature of Hillary’s collapse: Defeated by arrogance, hubris and gall
New York Daily News ^ | November 12, 2016 | Michael Tracey

Posted on 11/12/2016 5:46:12 AM PST by OddLane

Most devastating electoral defeats in United States history at least had some mitigating circumstances. In 1984, Walter Mondale got blown out by Ronald Reagan, a popular incumbent President presiding over an improving economy. Barry Goldwater lost the 1964 election by a large margin, but his opponent was another incumbent President with extensive resources to marshal.

Hillary Clinton’s stunning collapse is different. It’s hard to think of a historical analog that could come close to resembling the magnitude and depth of the failure. She had a popular incumbent President campaigning for her furiously; the popular First Lady did likewise. The economy is far healthier than it was eight or even four years ago.

No wonder the author can’t figure out why Hillary lost. His analysis is tainted by no less than three falsehoods in the second paragraph.

[The economy is far healthier than it was eight or even four years ago.]

No, it’s not, and no matter how many times media talking heads repeat this lie, voters know it’s not.

I really think now is the time to move on past this. Trump can reach out the olive branch to Hillary and the DNC. He shoul offer Hillary a position in his administration. Since she was Secretary of State it should be an ambassador position......Like Ambassador to Libya.

Shortly before the election, I saw Sarah Palin actually predict an EPIC win for Donald Trump. She was right.

“She had a popular incumbent President campaigning for her”

How do we know Obama is a popular president? Oh, by the polls. And the polls are never wrong.

hill lost because millions of normal Americans were fed up with racism against Whites, the knockout “game” against Whites, the president supporting the racist group BLM, the president giving a billion or so of our dollars to iranians who hate us, the president refusing to blame islamic terrorism for murders, the president using the irs to stop his enemies, the president hating Christians and favoring muzzlims, and for many other reasons.

[Now, what the hell is it with Minnesota??]

They have Al Frankenstein as a Senator. ‘Nuff said. Oh, and my autocorrect added the “Frankenstein” bit, but it seems fitting, so I left it. ;-)

This is the second article I’ve read this morning discussing the reasons for Hillary’s loss and each of them discusses every possible reason but the actual one: Hillary was a horrible candidate.

THIS NYDN 2016 SUMMATION TAKES THE CAKE: Hillary’s stunning collapse and the magnitude and depth of her flop came despite "a popular incumbent President and his popular wife" campaigning for her.

OMG---that is the most insane rap on the election yet. Hillary surely lost BECAUSE the O's campaigned for her....not to mention the Royal Idiot's sucking up to the Castros which queered the Cuban vote in Florida. The Royal Idiot's ringing endorsement of Hillary had many people moving over to Trump.

CAUTION: prolonged viewing causes violent retching.
"I flacked her on AF One and she lost four points.
This frickin' faked pose oughta be good for a point."

And when Michelle said "she's my girl", collective ntl retching
took place. Even Hillary looked like she was about to heave.

I just got Norm MacDonald’s new book, which is hilarious. He talks about how Franken wanted the Weekend Update slot and was more “savvy” about politics and all MacDonald could do was read cue cards. MacDonald told the produced he “knew people” who could make Franken a senator. Which was half-true. MacDonald knew some people, at least 25, but none of them could make anyone a senator.

But Franken went on to become a senator from Minnesota, “and was never heard from again.”

Trump won with EVERYONE except working class Americans against him.

Amazing. Incredible. Historic.

Keep the momentum going, let the loser rino’s flock back to him (except Romney), but make them pay by forcing them to vote for the Wall, repeal Obamacare and energy independence.

Clinton partisans were in denial about the true breadth of Hillary’s electoral liabilities.

The Democrats had back to back success with Obama; young, cool, urban, ethnic and chose to follow it up with old, crooked, neocon establishment Wall Street grifter.

Hillary gave up the presidency when she installed her private server, a necessary requirement for her to continue using her family's charitable foundation as a slush fund. There wasn't a single soul in America who truly believed that the 30,000 emails she deleted were about weddings and yoga. Regardless of the FBI's decision in the matter, their investigation served to remind the public that the Clintons will constantly be associated with scandal and ethically challenged.
