Anti-semitism is making a comeback and it is coming from the far left. Picking Ellison, would be an honest move for the dems. Too early to tell what impact this would have on the Jewish vote.
I would actually like to see this happen, with die hard Jewish Democrats having to frequently confront the truth about the entire Democrat party.
Obama’s hatred of Israel and Jews is palpable, even going so far as to send operatives to create chaos in Israel and overthrow the government, with an Occupy-style protest. And while he despised Jews, he also fully embraced their enemies, with support and encouragement.
And the best part is that the Republicans, and President Trump, as so very pro-Israel and pro-Jewish, and distrustful of Muslims, that the contrast cannot be greater.
Granted, some Jews even embraced the Nazis in Germany, early on. The Rothschild family even gave that party a major loan. But it didn’t take long for them to wise up.
Likewise, in Italy, the banker Ettore Ovazza was a determined Fascist, until the Italian anti-Jewish laws finally convinced him otherwise, though too late to save him and his family when they tried to escape to Switzerland.
So many Jews were raised and truly believe that the Democrats love and respect them and Israel. Many still support the Democrats even though they have turned against Israel. They really do need a splash of cold water in the face, that Keith Ellison is both a Muslim and a bitter antisemite, and embraces the idea of harming Jews and Israel, and backing their enemies, in any way he can.
