It's been less than two weeks since Donald Trump was elected president, and already his first foreign diplomacy meeting is turning heads.
A handout photo shows Trump meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Manhattan's Trump Tower...with his daughter, Ivanka Trump, listening in. CNN correspondent Ivan Watson deleted his tweet of the picture, but not before various reporters, political commentators, and other users pointed out the inappropriateness of Ivanka's presence.

The dress code was anything from an evening dress to a robe, slippers, and curlers in one’s hair.
You should have seen some of the outfits - one friend really showed up wearing curlers!

Several years ago I was in private industry and one of the functions I and the company I worked for had was negotiating deals with the presidents and their support people of large insurance companies. We always had people in meetings whose only function was to observe and carefully watch reactions. It is very difficult to talk and do both at the same time.
The debriefing time for a 1 hour meeting could last at least 3 to 4 hours.
A lot of valuable unspoken information can be pulled out of meetings by just observing.
so that explains why the CNN reporter deleted it.
this is a new age. We don’t need CNN to get info out there. Trump can do it himself.
Leave the media out of it. Have his own photographer.

I don't see that her sitting in on this courtesy call in inappropriate, and I don't remember the media even complaining about Mrs. Bill Clinton sending classified information to Chelsey.
To a Liberal, a smart woman looks like a mad cow. Ivanka is no mad cow.
Because Trump is a Republican. Remember, nepotism is a no-no for Republicans. JFK could appoint his brother to cabinet position because he wasn’t a Republican. See?

I lived in Japan in the early 70’s. They loved Caucasian women and loved using them in advertising. Imarine they still do and would think they were pleased as punch to meet the beautiful Ivanka. She may have acted as gracious hostess for the visit.
Maybe because someone asked him why he and his photographer were sitting in on the meeting. Maybe because he lied. Maybe because it's much ado about nothing since Trump hasn't been sworn in yet.
Because she thought she could get away with it.
