"We had a far-reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the United States of real significance," Romney told reporters after leaving the meeting. "We discussed those areas — and exchanged our views on those topics."
He called it a "very thorough and in-depth discussion in the time we had.
"I appreciate the chance to speak with the president-elect — and look forward to the coming administration."
Romney walked away as reporters shouted questions.

I don’t want to see or hear of or about Romney ever again. He did everything he could do to derail Trump and conservative republicans.
He always does a good interview when he needs to or gives a concession speech that is rousing but, leaves one asking “Where in TF was that guy during the election? I would voted for him”.
Besides, he is better fighting us than his opponents or maybe I just don’t get him. Maybe “We” are the opponent.
He staked out his claim for being his own many plenty of times and that he was more liberal than Republican.
He was also plenty proud of Romney care and it being used as the framework for ObamaCare.

Does Huckabee have Trump’s ear? What is Pence’s relationship with Romney like? I know he and Paul Ryan are close...can stomach Ryan (barely) but Romney as our face to the world is a bit much. Too much.

I’m a voter and I would not be insulted by Romney in the right job, even if that job is a cabinet position.
I trust Trump’s judgement when it comes to hiring people and filling slots in his administration than I do the bass players.
Although I like Huckabee in general. We just don’t need his opinion on this.

I don’t like the idea of traitor Romney being there either.
But then Trump is a great negotiator. If Romney would not perform to his liking, Romney would be fired in the wink of an eye.
Romney flip flops his way through life but on most given days, his foreign policy worldview is not too different from that of Hillary Clinton. Hence why Sec of State would be particularly egregious. And I really disapprove of his cult getting any meaningful foothold in our government and in the global political arena. He can do something else though.

I don’t know about that but I do think there’s merit in finding a position for Romney (I advocate putting him in charge of restructuring the VA) because otherwise he’s apt to be sitting out in Utah where everyone thinks he’s next to God in terms of wisdom and all, stirring the pot, supporting who-knows-what kind of Mormon politicians, and shooting off his mouth. I think Romney has skills that can be useful, but just like Abe Lincoln did with Bates, Chase, and Seward, I’d rather have my rivals on my side rather than on their own.
