This is awesome! Maybe we can rename Christmas something like 'Ski Holiday' of 'Snowflake Break'...

I like “Snowflake Break” better. But then again, we’re appropriating the culture of snowflakes!

The Indiana legislature should rename Bloomington to either Bolshevikgrad or perhaps Karl Marx Stadt.

This is the home on Indiana University, so I’m not surprised.

They are offended by the holiday, but not enough to give up the day off it gives them.

If Sammy Davis Jr. were alive, he’d celebrate Chawaanzika.

The Herald-Times reports that "all city employees receive paid time off for Columbus Day, a federal holiday ... and Good Friday, the Friday before Easter Sunday. In the future, the city will be calling these paid days off 'Fall Holiday' and 'Spring Holiday.'"

Nope.

The word 'holiday' comes from 'holy day'. It's too religious.

It must become 'Fall Day Off' and 'Spring Day Off'.

And in a related story, liberals are still scratching their heads, unable to understand how Trump won.

Dissing and dismantling the holiday became more a left-wing cause when the late Howard Zinn, a political science professor at Boston University, spent the first chapter of his 1980 book, "A People's History of the United States," flaying Columbus.

from Wikipedia: "Zinn was born to a Jewish immigrant family in Brooklyn on August 24, 1922."

When they begin adding in islamic days with their correct names, we can figure the caliphate has begun.

If these 2 days are name-changed to protect the sensitive, they should not be paid days off either. That way it does not matter what the city calls those days. You could also call them, “Gouge The Taxpayer 1” and “Gouge the Taxpayer 2” days, to more accurately identify the reason that city workers need another paid day off.

i suspect the Christians in Bloomington will have something to say to this mayor when next he is up for re-election. I seriously doubt that a majority of the city is NOT non-Christian.

Christmas has been renamed everything for years. Meanwhile the Mayor should celebrate mental illness since he suffers from it greatly.
