really? you really are going there?

You are being dishonest. Read my posts after #44. Notice my intent and wanting things to calm down instead of ratcheting up. Notice my well wishes. When you start throwing the stupid names around - totally baseless, then you open yourself up for being called what you are being. Nice try to deflect but it’s not going to work.

Calling me a troll, saying I come here to stir trouble, saying I’m using Alinsky tactics, all are baseless, and, in fact, look stupid in light of what I HAVE posted.

Put down the ego and give it a rest, would you please.

You obviously didn’t bother reading my post or it went over your head—either that or you are deliberately trying to lie about me, as you have already viciously spammed the thread with slander about time4good. In your many, many posts on this thread you are coming across as one of the most confrontational, nasty posters I’ve seen on FR. I tried to have an intelligent conversation explaining why it might not be a bad thing to get this news out (something you specifically questioned on this thread), and all you can do is verbally assault and bully me as you did the previous poster, while apparently calling for help from your friends.

If you actually read my post, you would have see that I was defending Barron against the charges that somehow he doesn’t smile enough and is miserable. People on the spectrum often zone out a bit as a protective measure when they receive too much sensory input, and thus wouldn’t be smiling in those sort of noisy, bright, overactive situations—even when they are generally very happy people. Most people however are interpreting this as him being a sad, miserable kid, which is nonsense. With “no shame,” you appear to have no problem with the many mean-spirited insults about Barron that I discussed that have flooded Twitter and various websites, because in your bigotry you apparently believe that being thought of as a miserable, mentally slow kid in a horrible relationship with one’s father is far better than being thought of as having Asperger’s.

In yet another sign that you did not actually bother reading or taking in what I wrote, you ignored that I’ve already said I thought he was on the spectrum long before his father’s victory speech. Quit with the nonsense that this has anything to do with the kid being sleepy at 3 am. That you could claim that shows that you still have no idea what the actual conversation on this topic is. You also made up the idea that I’m the one obsessed with Barron, when I’ve posted twice before to this thread and you posted a couple of dozen times. Lots of Aspies are “cool kids”—so you are showing your biases again. None of that litany of questions has anything to do with what I was talking about. You are acting in a very dishonest fashion towards me, and I do not appreciate it.

You are obviously intolerant and resentful of anyone who disagrees with you. If it weren’t for your offensive bigotry consuming this thread, I never would have commented on this in the first place. Sometimes belligerence and ignorance requires a response. I’m actually somewhat sympathetic to the argument that it’s not our place to “label” him, but when I see someone going so crazy over something that has already been thoroughly discussed online and sometimes mean-spiritedly misinterpreted, it’s hard not to respond.

Time4good already requested we move past this, which I would have been more than happy to do, but you were not willing to and chose not to do that.

You appear to be going out of your way to aggressively dismiss the obvious

You should calm down. TV/Internet diagnosis of "autism" are as bad as internet psychological evaluations. Speculating without any real evidence beyond allegations that he "usually isn't smiling" (but I've seen plenty of smiling pictures) is pointless.

Correction. I hit the abuse button and requested the mod remove your video the moment that I opened it. That was prior to responding to you. While you have stopped, your friend, babbitt, has kept up the lectures and explanations of his own personal diagnosis projected onto young Barron.

FWIW, I have friends that know the family and they have never mentioned any thing different about him. He gets along great among his peers at a great prep academy, plays after-school athletics and has plenty of friends. His parents, his siblings and the rest adore him. I hope it stays that way and he is not allowed to be harassed.
**********************************************************************************************

What exactly are a few qualities about Barron Trump? Melania, told Parenting magazine he’s “very strong minded, really unique, bright son. She said Barron “knows just what he needs.” She adds that his style is why she calls him “small Donald.”...........

«In the event you’ve got too much help, you do not get to know your kids.” Trump included, “I Have always prided myself on really being a great dad.” Melania told People that Barron and she are “ very close because she makes him her “top precedence.”

Melania said he loves baseball, golf, and playing with plenty of buddies. His dad calls him a natural sportsman...

Melania has nicknamed her son “mini- because he is so much like his dad, Donald”. Barron Trump enjoys quite definitely to mimic father in more ways than one.........

Barron Trump probably will follow in his dad’s footsteps in politics or business. He stands to inherit a foolish bundle whichever direction he goes......

I’m not worked up over this actual issue, but rather certain comments made on this thread.

I was actually basing my opinion on a few dozen different information points, one of the very least of which was his not smiling too often in photos. I don’t wish to go into that, because it would take several hours to explain thoroughly and because I do not see it as my place to show that he has Asperger’s (and I would imagine doing so would induce hysteria in certain corners). I simply do not think that it is right for anyone who does notice certain traits in Barron (and it’s been almost entirely sympathetic people intimately familiar with the autism spectrum who have) to be insulted and accused of “attacking” the boy and being “un-Christian” and “EVIL.” Those are very serious charges a poster was subjected to because he simply notice that Barron acted similarly to his own child.

99% of which was evidently useless, such as "he doesn't smile [in the few photos I've seen]. Seeing as how the "data points" revolve around images of him, your data points are useless.

I don’t wish to go into that, because it would take several hours to explain thoroughly

What's there to explain? You and the rat commies are speculating on the same handful of photos of Barron awake at 3am.

You’re right. I don’t read your entire posts because I know that you don’t know Barron, so all the observations based on smidgeons of your misperceptions is mute.

The bottom line is that you and a few others have the audacity to diagnose and label our President’s-e son. It’s wrong. It’s offensive. It needs to stop. Why not just let the kid be himself. “sem zabaven fant.”

Oh, but keep it up, I’ll be here for you.

1 “why it might not be a bad thing to get this news out”

What news? There;s no news to get out. (Are you the town crier?)

2. “verbally assault and bully me”

No, I did not call you names, I disagree with your projection of your own personal autism-asperger syndrome onto a child whom you have never met. Pick on someone your own size, face-to-face as opposed to hiding behind a computer screen. (Paging Melania Trump.)

3. “you appear to have no problem with the many mean-spirited insults about Barron...”

Untrue, I don’t frequent the leftist garbage websites; have no idea what they write. The fact that you go there is rather telling. My advice is - don’t go there, it distorts your POV.

4. “I thought he was on the spectrum long before his father’s victory speech...”

You have no basis from which to comment.

He appears to be the life of the party at the Easter Egg hunt at Mar-a Lago, at his birthday party two years ago, and very chummy when he’s playing tennis and in the pool with kids. He has plenty of friends and gets along with his dad’s friend’s kids that he barely knows. Really, you have no clue. Basketball, baseball, and tennis are all social contact games where he excels.

The the 3 campaign events he attended represented .000000000000000000000001 of the last year. You do not know him, not at all. You have just psyc-evaluated him based on less than 10 minutes of video clips. Much of that was carefully selected or edited by media types looking for a story.

Just a FWIW. If I had taken my son, age 10 in front of thousands of people, late at night, the Lord only knows what people would have thought of him.

I have always been impressed by how well Barron handles himself in front of what must be a terrifying amount of people and noise for his age. He did only just turn 10 a few months ago. He’s a very brave, very young, young man.

“to be insulted and accused of “attacking” the boy and being “un-Christian” and “EVIL.” Those are very serious charges a poster was subjected”

Serious charges? you have no perspective of what you have done.

We are anonymous posters with fictitious names on a website. You are Fenwick and I am Beautiful. Calling each other anything here is meaningless to the whole world. You can call me Retarded, Psycho, or Schizophrenic. I can call you insensitive or rude. Nothing will change for your life or mine.

Son of POTUS is in another league. Labeling a child with a psychiatric abnormality is very serious. Personally naming a child whose name is world famous and stigmatizing him with a mental disorder is not cool.

Do you see the difference?

I don’t want to get into an argument here about details of Barron’s life; just let me clear up a few things. You seem to be under the misconception that Aspies are necessarily friendless and lifeless and must not be able to play sports. Aspies (who can vary a lot from person to person) often act very similarly to any other happy, fun-loving kids in situations and around people they are comfortable with. That is different in strange situations and when under stress like in big, noisy crowds. Many Aspies are also outgoing and talkative, even if they don’t read every situation perfectly, so what appear to be the basic assumptions you are arguing against are wrong (although I did find your second-hand information about Barron interesting).

I can tell too from an earlier post of yours about Barron with the article link and quotes that you aren’t familiar with many other common characteristics of Asperger’s, such as 1) mimicry and modeling oneself and one’s behavior after others, 2) being especially bright and knowledgeable on certain topics, very frequently computers and mathematics, 3) having a notably strong will and insistence on control, 4) being considered unique, and 5) in some cases having a strong preference for order, cleanliness, and certain colors (see Dr. Tony Atwood’s The Complete Guide to Asperger’s Syndrome for details on these points). Your linked article, which I had already read before, doesn’t at all do what I think you believe it does.

“you have no perspective of what you have done.”

All I did was reiterate what’s already been discussed a lot around the Internet, many times by people sympathetic to Barron, very familiar with the condition in question, and who understand this has the potential to explain many things, including some of his parents’ actions. You seem to be under the impression that if you can close down discussion of it here, it will die off—and I would support you if that were actually possible (a small number of Freepers musing out loud on a topic close to them are hardly enough to control the national narrative or label anyone anything). I do think it would probably have been better if this hadn’t become a topic online in the first place, but there are too many people independently arriving at this conclusion to ever keep everybody quiet.

Certainly, you may be right in thinking this sort of talk should be clamped down on when possible (although I can’t help but think you drew a lot more attention to this topic than if you had ignored the two posters talking about their kid and students—or even just given a calm and thoughtful argument on why it’s better not to bring this up). None of us here were “attacking” Barron, but sure it’s probably better to avoid the topic altogether. I wish I never joined in. How about we stop this in-fighting and return to just hitting the Dems instead?

Very interesting information. But the characteristics listed are prevalent kid behaviors and are not necessarily considered extraordinary. If they were, everyone I know would gain a special spot in the DSM. Having had zero interaction with a person, it is pretty audacious and unethical to diagnose them. It remains none of our business, none at all. The details of Barron’s life need to remain private and he deserves to grow up having fun, just being a kid. Hillary did that for Chelsea. Michelle has done a pretty good job of that for her girls. And none of these three girls have been very smiley for the cameras in their youth, not at all.

Your diagnoses is based on media cuts. In addition to Aspies, do you realize that many private citizens do not welcome strangers and camera attention -especially celebrity children. I would caution anyone to read much into their faces during media events. Wealthy people and celebrity kids are stalked by papparrazi from day one. These children grow up very guarded and elusive in public and that behavior is not representative of their true personality.

Aside from the Kardasians and politicians, most people do not welcome being chased by reporters with snapping cameras. It’s intrusive and abnormal. Children don’t won’t to be glad-handed by a crowd of strangers. Celebrity kids are often grimacing or turning their faces as their parents rush them from the limo to the airport. They are not autistic or in any ‘spectrum’; they plainly hate the cameras and avoid the unwelcome stress it adds to their life. Again, that’s the point, to MYOB and resist pigeon holing children.

Donald Trump has been stalked by photographers for decades, his security detail serves a dual role. His family vacations have been bombarded by photographers who are not apt to leave unless directly escorted from the property. Lucky for him, he owns resorts and can eject people. Through these situations, Trump has learned to use and control the media and get the PR he wants with minimal hassle.

For ten years, Melania has done a great job of protecting her son and his friends from the prying eyes of strangers. The media can not crash his school and has restricted access to Mar-a-Lago. I would think that this trend will continue forward.

Melania has a very beautiful warm smile, yet she refuses to smile on cue for photographers, which is actually kind of funny. Barron may just due the same. Rest assured, he will not be flipping the camera his middle finger reminiscent of Miss Jenna Bush.

But if he did, I wouldn’t blame him one bit.

There are people from team Trump and other places that follow along here because they value Free Republic’s goals and its contents.

The unwarranted personal speculation of this man’s family lowers the overall value of the site. It is harmful, not helpful. I think you are smart enough to grasp that.

At this point, I will guess that you were a Cruz supporter that was kicked out and has now returned.

Mar-a- Lago is a spectacular place of historical significance.

She had amazing foresight and impeccable taste. It deserves its own thread for a later date.

Realize that Trump had to fight the Palm Beach Commissioners on all types of issues beyond zoning, building and usage.

There was the American flag issue due to it’s enormous size, he was forced to pay a $100,000 fine and he donated those monies to the Veterans Hospital.

He was the first completely non-discriminatory open club in Palm Beach (1995)

When Trump opened Mar-a-Lago, he insisted on accepting Jews and blacks even though other clubs in Palm Beach to this day discriminate against blacks and Jews. The old guard in Palm Beach was outraged that Donald would accept blacks and Jews, but he persisted and has pushed for non-discrimination for other country clubs and golf clubs in the area.

So much for the racists mantra and this is occurred over twenty years ago.

At this point, I will guess that you were a Cruz supporter that was kicked out and has now returned.

LOL. That’s about the third dozenth straw man argument you’ve pushed on this thread (and your previous post had been so thoughtful!). I fought the Cruzers in the Great Freeper Civil War tooth and nail. I used my Aspie powers of focus and my professional training in research to investigate and debunk dozens of lies put out there by the Trump haters. Here’s a thread from the primaries that Jim Robinson started from a lengthy research post I wrote: “A FReeper discussion on the history of Trump's conservative pro-America positions” (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3421864/posts). In fact, you yourself posted on that thread (#39) saying: “A Keeper! Incoming.”

I’m a huge Trump supporter, and I admire his family. All I did was express something I truly believe from numerous things I’ve read, seen, and heard--and no, I just can’t see it as insulting and horrible as you do. That’s no more than the opinion of someone on a forum online. You’re imbuing me with so much power, as if out of the hundreds of voices online commenting on this issue (including people in Trump’s own Twitter feed), my personal opinion really matters in some way. I have as much chance of winning the lotto, as I do of personally influencing Barron Trump’s life—and I would imagine the same goes for you, regardless of what you with the best of intentions may think you're doing here.

You keep making the assumption that those who actually understand the signs and comment on that topic are somehow Trump haters attacking his kid (I’m sure it never occurred to you that if the boy is on the spectrum intensely negative reactions to the idea could also be hurtful if he learned about them). You know, your argument that it’s better to keep even a famous kid’s life private (at least when reasonably possible) is a pretty good one; I wish you had just run with that in the first place, instead of aggressively criticizing and fighting people much more intimately familiar with the pertinent signs over whether he is or isn’t. Across your many posts on this thread, you seem to be responding primarily from emotion. And that’s OK. I’m glad you love the Trump family so passionately.

No one should have to tell you to MYOB about someone else’s child, It’s understood. Labeling and pigeonholing a child demonstrates nosiness and a complete lack of empathy, unless you are intentionally trying to be harmful. Nothing else makes any sense. Your special Aspie powers are failing you if you actually believe that this is acceptable. It’s not. It’s bad etiquette and very bad form. It always has been and always will be considered rude and invasive.

The initial speculation of autism became aspergers syndrome, and finally now it’s “in the spectrum” based on your unprofessional observations of video on stage. Although you portend to be an expert, you will never convince many people that you are correct since you have never met your patient and are unqualified to diagnose.

But since your still here, I suggest that you send your heartfelt concerns and Aspie revelations directly to President Elect Donald Trump and tell him about his son.
