Not for Supreme Court justices. He specifically excluded them.
You lost, Chuckles. Yeah, you can gum up the works a bit, but only to an extent.
>>Time to go full nuclear.<<
Dems went 3/4 nuke — thanks Chuckie for taking it over the line.
I don’t think the Pubbies have the stones to do it.
They would never get the 51 votes needed. I can easily think of half a dozen Republicans who would vote against repealing the filibuster.
To today’s Dems, “mainstream” means someone Left of Castro/Pol Pot/Mao/Lenin/Stalin/etc.
Today’s Dems are not distinguishable from a raging, loonie, brain washed robot....modern Flat-Earthers....unable to learn from history that applying Socialism to a Society is like applying rat poison to the family’s dinner.
Strategically, if one seeks to damage and weaken an enemy Country, one pushes them into Socialism....like injecting that Society with cultural AIDS.
Obama didn’t nominate a moderate to any position, so there is plenty of ground to make up.
This is when a Real American as Senate Majority Leader would immediately remove the recalcitrant Senator from ALL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS.
Blah blah blah.
I guess the court will be shrinking, then.
Okay, then make them actually filibuster, instead of the “virtual” filibuster that is in effect now.
GFY Upchuckie! BTW, saw you on TV last night, time has not been kind to you. You are now a really ugly schmeckel.
Mitch better grow a pair
Like Kagan and Sotomayor are mainstream.
What hypocrisy!
He changed the rules about bringing a vote to the floor which lowered the bar in defeating a filibuster. Plurality vs a 2/3 majority or something similar.
The upshot is they’re screwed.
I can think of a lot more than six Republican senators who would vote against changing the rules to require that.
They tend to be gutless wonders when the chips are down.
Nor do I.
Time to go full nuclear, first day, first item on the agenda.
