Morning Joe: Trump Administration Won’t Pursue Investigations of Clinton
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 11/22/16 | David Rutz

Posted on 11/22/2016 4:10:26 AM PST by DoodleDawg

President-elect Donald Trump will not pursue investigations of Hillary Clinton regarding her email server scandal and the Clinton Foundation when his administration begins, Morning Joe reported on Tuesday.

“A source with direct knowledge of Donald Trump’s thinking tells Morning Joe that in his administration, the president-elect will not pursue any investigations into Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server and the Clinton Foundation,” co-host Mika Brzezinski said to open the broadcast. “The source tells Morning Joe that Trump feels Clinton has, quote, been through enough.”

I do not doubt Trump said “Hillary’s been through enough.” That strategy is quite clever.....it serves to mollify the culprits until he can drop the hammer.

Insightful comment. A master strategist like Trump might easily make such a move, especially when it can be ignored later, as it really amounts to nothing.

At this point in time, I would say that Morning Joe is full of prunes. The only purpose now of this story is to discredit Donald with his supporters, create dissension among his supporters, and lower their morale. I would question the wisdom of even listening to a known liar and Morning Joe qualifies by being a member of the main stream media. You know that each time they speak that they lie. I never listened to obama for that reason. I have not listened to 10 words from the entire time he has occupied the White House. I used to tell people when they asked me, “Did you hear what the President said last night?” “First off, he is not my President, Secondly, why should I listen to a known liar?” A few got mad. Most nodded their head in agreement.

Trump is preparing to run the country. The last thing he needs is the distraction of the Clintons. They are finished. Done. He’s given signs he’s not interested in prosecuting them ever since election night, but most Freepers haven’t been listening.

If he does decide not to pursue any further investigations of the Clintons then it sends absolutely the wrong message. It says that Crime does pay.

Exactly!

They call this crap news. You are kidding me. “Some source that knows Trump’s thinking”?

This is just ridiculous and done to make people think Trump will betray you.

That does not prohibit Congress from pursuing justice in the criminal activities of the Clinton Foundation. At the very least, it should shut down that crime syndicate under the RICO laws. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW, remember???

Had Republicans done what the DNC and Clinton-Gore campaign did in 1995-96 on fundraising, half the Republicans in DC would have gone to jail. In the scandal column, the first Clinton term was dominated by obstruction of justice on Whitewater. The second Clinton term was dominated by obstruction of justice on sexual misconduct, which the media covered obsessively, and illegal campaign finance issues (both fundraising and expenditures), which the media largely ignored but which were much more serious.

When he took office, Bush ended the campaign finance investigations and gave Clinton a pass. In the wake of the Florida recount, he wanted "to be a uniter, not a divider." In retrospect, that was a strategic mistake. The Democrats immediately pivoted to the line that since Clinton had not been convicted, he was innocent. And Democrats drew the conclusion that, with a lapdog press, they could get away with anything if they were willing to obstruct endlessly and brazen it out.

Obama has operated on this principle as well, from Fast and Furious forward. So has Hillary. Trump should appoint a special prosecutor. If he doesn't, the double standard will continue. It is already quite entrenched.

Yep Pols are beyond prosecution for, among many things the biggest charity fraud in history—just because it’s tough to lose an election to become president?

That’s DC double-standard thinking at its best/worst.

Better that he not say anything about it at all for now, and then just quietly have Sessions run a professional justice department that takes the evidence wherever it goes.

Yes, though Kellyanne, for example, has been making it sound that way more on the record, too.

Most of Obama's agenda died a quiet death even with a Democratic Congress. Go back and see what happened to the labor union "card check" law he promised would pass as soon as he was in office.

Obamacare wasn't even on his radar screen until Nancy Pelosi shoved it in front of him and told him to sign it. It was written by insurance industry lobbyists, and that jug-eared dope still doesn't know half of its provisions.

Word to the wise ... never use an ill-equipped moron like Barack Obama to support an argument about the limitations of a leader's abilities.

“He probably knows she’s dying.”

So what? They prosecute dying people all the time for murders committed in youth. Bill and Chelsea aren’t dying. Clean ‘em all out.

Exactly. He doesn’t have to dictate an outcome like Obama, Lynch and Comey did. Have ‘honest’ people look at the facts and determine if there were any laws broken, the proceed according to the law.

Regardless of “what she’s been through” is no reason to put her above the law.

Actually, it proves crime doesn’t pay - the email issue was one major reason she did not win.....and she’ll be paying for that for the rest of her life......denying that’s one reason she lost of course.

The bigger issue I think is that if you are powerful enough, the laws don’t apply to you.

And that’s the single reason a Trump AG SHOULD DEFINITELY pursue her.....if not for the emails, for Pay-to-Play with the Clinton Crime Foundation........

The goal is to shine the light on all the corruption, not to put Hillary in prison. Doing so would be a nice add on though.

Everyone keep you eye on the ball, I think we will see some very creative light shining. Something like Colombo getting his adversaries to confess and do them selves in.
