Source: Trump will not seek to prosecute Hillary Clinton

This is just coming out this morning and it’s only attributed on background to “a source” with knowledge of the transition team’s thinking, but Donald Trump is supposedly not going to pursue any prosecution of Secretary Hillary Clinton over her email transgressions or even the pay to play activities of the Clinton Global Initiative. The story popped up on MSNBC’s Morning Joe during the first hour and it immediately prompted questions as to why this would be coming out now. (To be fair, there wasn’t a rush of other folks confirming the veracity of the source.) Perhaps it’s something to do with the fact that Barack Obama is about to pardon a turkey so Trump felt a matching gesture of magnanimous generosity was called for. In any event, the show put it out on Twitter as coming directly to Joe Scarborough from the source in question.

I agree with you. It’s a waste of time and money and energy at this point. There is so much more to be concentrating on. She has suffered the ultimate penalty anyway - the knowledge that she was soundly rejected, screwed the party over, and will never, ever, be President of the United States. It hurt her so badly she didn’t put make up on!

She will either be in prison, arkancided (downed plane or her own hand), or dead from sickness within 5 years.

Horseshit! “GUILTY”? Hardly... I can’t see a jury returning a verdict of guilty and the judge telling the accused, “There, now have a nice life with your husband, your daughter and your grandchildren”, while many, many other people’s lives have been ruined for far, far less.

In a free country that respects the rule of law, a president (or any other politician) would not interfere in the investigative and prosecutorial processes at all - negatively or affirmatively. It’s NOT a matter of one party prosecuting another, it’s a matter of investigating and prosecuting a criminal, irrespective of his or her standing in society and in accordance with the law.

I have held a TS/SCI clearance and special access for 40 years. Not a single one of us would have been given that consideration had we done one scintilla of what Hillary Clinton has done. Just goes to show that there really are two sets of laws in our country - no matter who the president might be - and THAT is a characteristic of third world cesspits, which now, apparently, includes the United States of America.

Fine don’t prosecute just make every piece of data and information you have collected on the Clinton’s PUBLIC. Let us decide.

I’m really glad Trump won, but I don’t want any past American President or First Lady to be in prison. This is the USA, not the Congo or Argentina.

This might not be a popular view here but not a big fan of one political party prosecuting the other. That is for 3rd World cesspits. The US electorate returned a devastating GUILTY verdict to Hillary.

True, but it's probably just the gaslighting Media trying to cover for their criminal Felon Gal.

Kelly Anne Conway said it on air, on Morning Joe (MSLSDPMSSPLCUSSRKKKNBC) http://nypost.com/2016/11/22/trump-wont-pursue-charges-against-clinton/

Maybe count to ten and find out what’s really going on from the only source that counts. There are enemy media organizations (all of them) that are actively trying to undermine the big dog. Cruzty’s, the pathetic sore losers of Canadian candidate fame, are among the enemies.

Then the FBI and DOJ should release their investigative files.

So you are saying it is okay to commit crimes as long as you lose a presidential election. That is BS. I have to believe the Trump transition team really has not had the time nor the energy to think about prosecuting Criminal Hillary. He will leave that up to those responsible for such decisions, the DOJ.

If Trump was calling her a Criminal during the campaign, you can bet your last dollar she will be indicted by an independent DOJ.

The president doesn’t prosecute. The law prosecutes. Let the law be enforced.

It isn’t fair to both not prosecute and withhold information on the Clinton Crime Syndicate. That is 3rd world crap right there.

Prosecuting Hillary is not his call directly, but it is CERTAINLY and POSITIVELY 100% his call to say “Investigate this THOROUGHLY, COMPLETELY, and CONSTANTLY, and prosecute like a demon if you find corruption.”

He will NOT do that. He will instead say “It is time to move on,” and that will end it for ALL of the federal law involvement.

Hillary skates and keeps her bribe money that she got for selling out my country. PERIOD!

Didn’t say anything about the Clinton Foundation, though... I think we’re done with the server business, but the Foundation needs to be investigated and I think it will be. By an honest DOJ.

I am NOT caving, I am predicting. The only people caving are those who will make excuses for Trump.

Exactly right, Gaffer.

I am not looking for vengeance at all, and I don’t need to see her prosecuted for relatively minor legal infractions. But accusations of sending confidential information, charging for access, and even child sex need to be looked into. I also would like to know whether her lies about the source of the attack on the US offices in Libya involved criminal conduct.

It all needs to be handled professionally, if at all. I would like very much to see investigations proceed. But I trust Trump to make the right decision. He may believe that he can heal the country more effectively by closing the case.

“I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members,” Kellyanne Conway told the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe

Seems like a little premature to state this. Wonder if she’s really speaking for Trump here.
